Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 9, it’s latest affordable device in the Redmi Note 9 series in India. It is the successor of the Redmi Note 8 and is powered by a MediaTek chipset instead of the Snapdragon chipset found on the other Redmi Note 9 devices.

The Redmi Note 9 is similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in terms of design and comes with some minor changes such as a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 will go on sale at 12 noon today on Amazon India. It will be available in Aqua Green, Arctic White, Pebble Grey and Scarlet Red color options.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will be available from Amazon India on August 19 in Aurora Blue, Glacier White and Interstellar Black color options.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 vs Redmi Note 9 Pro Max: Design

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a plastic back with a glossy finish and comes with P2i coating. It features a quad camera setup at the back, a fingerprint sensor and Redmi branding at the bottom.


The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max features a glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It features a quad camera setup at the back and the Redmi branding at the bottom. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the right side of the device.

The major difference between the two devices in terms of design is in the placement of the fingerprint sensor.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It features a punch-hole notch at the left side.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a slightly bigger 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It features a punch-hole notch in the middle.

The two devices feature similar displays and the only difference is that the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a slightly bigger display and the punch-hole notch is placed in the middle.
