The major launches by the tech giant at the event are the much-awaited Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phones. The company has also launched the Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 6 Series and the Galaxy Tab S9 Series at the event.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip are the main highlights of the Galaxy Unpacked event. Both the devices run on Android 13 out of the box with the company's OneUI 5.1.1 on top. The biggest noticeable change is the improved cover display on the Galaxy Flip 5.
Starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 5, it features a large 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the outside, the device features a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset, which was also used for the company’s Galaxy S23 series. The device is available in three memory options – 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 512GB storage and 12GB RAM + 1TB storage.
Coming to the optics, the device features a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 50MP wide-angle camera and a 10MP telephoto sensor. It comes with two selfie cameras – a 10MP selfie camera on the cover display and the 4MP under-display selfie camera on the internal display.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is powered by a 4,400mAh battery with 25W charging support, which can charge the device up to 50% in just 30 minutes. It also supports wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been priced at ₹1,54,999 for the 256GB variant, ₹1,64,999 for the 512GB variant and ₹1,84,999 for the 1TB variant.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ internal display with a 120Hz refresh rate and comes with a large 3.4-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate.
The Galaxy Z Flip is also powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset. It is however available in two options only – 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 8GB RAM + 512GB storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12MP wide-angle camera. The device comes with a 10MP selfie camera on the front.
It is powered by a 3,700mAh battery coupled with 25W charging support, which can power it up to 50% in 30 minutes. It supports Wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has been priced at ₹99,999 for the 256GB variant and ₹1,09,999 for the 512GB variant.
