Elon Musk tweeted Tuesday that he would relaunch what he called 'Blue Verified' on November 29, after first suspending it las Friday.

Musk wrote, "Punting relaunch of Blue Verified to November 29th to make sure that it is rock solid."

Blue Verified is Musk's addendum to Twitter Blue, a paid tier that the company first launched in June 2021. It enabled users to undo tweets, bookmark folders, and enter "a more beautiful reading experience" through reader mode.

Since Musk took over Twitter a few weeks ago, he's been plotting a revamp of Twitter Blue, which will include charging verified users $7.99 a month to keep or obtain a blue check mark.

Until now, Twitter has doled out blue checks to celebrities, pundits, journalists, and other public personalities on the platform for free.

But Musk's initial rollout of the new Twitter Blue didn't go as planned.

When the feature initially launched on November 5, Twitter was swarmed with a wave of impersonators, including many fake Elons.

Since then, the Twitter team has been caught in a confusing back and forth, unveiling and removing check marks to beat the onslaught of impersonators buying themselves authenticity on the platform.

Right now, Twitter is using a new, gray checkmark to verify political figures.
