Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 ProGoogle
The much-awaited Pixel 6a smartphone has been finally unveiled. The device features a similar two-tone design as the Pixel 6 series, giving it a premium look.
The Pixel 6a runs on Android 12 out of the box and Google has promised three years of Android updates and five years of security updates for the device. It features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display.
It is powered by the company’s Tensor chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The device features a 12.2MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera at the back. It comes with an 8MP selfie camera.
The device is powered by 4,306mAh battery with 18W charging support.
The Pixel 6A has been priced at $449 (approx. ₹34,830) and will be available in Chalk, Charcoal and Sage color options.
Google has also unveiled the Pixel Watch, the first smartwatch from the company. It comes with a circular-domed design with curved glass protection and runs on Wear OS 3.
The Pixel Watch comes with a stainless-steel build and features a tactile crown like the Apple Watch. It comes with Fitbit integration, and the search giant has claimed that the watch will deliver an “industry-leading health and fitness experience.”
The Pixel Watch will be available along with the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro later this year.
Google has also announced the Pixel Buds Pro, its latest offering in the true wireless (TWS) segment. The main highlight of the device is that it is the first TWS from the company to offer active noise cancellation (ANC).
Google has said that an update will be rolled out later this year to add spatial audio support to the Pixel Buds Pro, but this will work only with Pixel devices.
The Pixel Buds Pro are equipped with a custom audio chip and feature beam-forming microphones. It will reportedly offer 11 hours of music playback on a single charge.
The Pixel Buds Pro has been priced at $199 (approx. ₹15,430) and will be available in Charcoal, Coal, Fog and Lemongrass color options later this year.
Google has also teased the upcoming Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. The company revealed the design and the fact that the devices will be powered by the next-gen Tensor chipsets and run on Android 13 out of the box.
The teased devices feature a matte white color design with an aluminum camera bar. We should know more about the devices in the coming weeks.
In addition to the Pixel 7 series, the search giant also teased the Pixel Tablet, which will be the company’s first tablet since it discontinued the Nexus tablet series.
Like the Pixel 7 series, the Pixel Tablet will also be powered by the next-gen Tensor chipset and run on Android 13. The teaser reveals a large display, a selfie camera, a rear camera and a quad speaker setup.
The Pixel Tablet is scheduled to be launched in 2023 so you’ll have to wait a long time to get your hands on the device.
Google has also officially announced Android 13, the next iteration of its OS. Like Android 12, the main focus of this version is on customization and allowing you to personalize your device.
The Android 13 update will offer you the ability to set separate default languages for different apps and feature the Wallet app that allows you to store your government-issued identity cards.
