Google is rolling out AI Overviews in the US, with plans to expand worldwide by the end of the year. AI Overviews provides quick answers and overviews to user queries by curating sources from multiple sites.

Google will also deploy AI to help prevent fraud. AI will soon be able to identify if the person you are speaking to on the phone is attempting to fraud them. Google will issue an alert when the person gets a call from someone who is suspected of fraud.
Google also announced Project Astra, a universal AI agent at the Google I/O 2024. Project Astra is aimed at making Gemini naturally conversational. With Project Astra, conversations will fell more natural and this is why Gemini will be multimodal.
Google also announced Gemini 1.5 Flash, a lightweight version of Gemini Pro. It has been optimised for high-frequency tasks, coding, and reasoning. This version is faster and smarter, capable of handling complex tasks with increased efficiency.
Google also announced Veo, a powerful new video generation model capable of creating high-quality Full HD videos over a minute long. It has an advanced understanding of natural language and visual semantics.
Google Workspace is set to receive Gemini 1.5 Pro integration for assistance in Docs, Sheets, and more, enhancing the productivity suite with AI capabilities.
