It's not just you — Instagram is having issues.

The company confirmed it was experiencing problems on Monday morning.

"We're aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account," a statement from the company's communications account said on Twitter. "We're looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience."

Reports of Instagram outages surged on Monday morning, according to Downdetector. By 10 am EST there were over 7,000 reports of Instagram being down on the site.

Some people took to Twitter to complain that their Instagram accounts had been suspended despite receiving no prior warnings, claiming that they hadn't violated any guidelines.

"Ummm @instagram you want to tell me why my account was suspended while watching a video of a dog being groomed," tweeted one person.

"my Instagram account was just suspended for no reason not even a notification they took my account down :( i have like everyone years of photos on there i literally cant get back I want a reason!!!!!!!!," tweeted another.

Instagram did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment ahead of publication.
