How to automatically close tabs on your iPhone in Safari with iOS 13
1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Scroll or search for Safari in Settings.

You can scroll or simply take advantage of the "Search" feature in Settings to get to Safari.
4. Find the section labelled "Tabs" and select "Close Tabs."
5. The default will be manual. Select the period of time you'd prefer your tabs to close automatically.

While it's not the most optimal for having a clutter-free Safari, I set my browser to automatically close tabs after one month.
For me, I knew I'd select the month option - my brain tends to meander, so I might still want the information I clicked on and wandered away from, even after a few weeks have passed.
