Notably, this innovative device will feature an all-new chipset and boast of a sizable inner display, adding to its appeal and functionality.

Now, let's delve into the specifications, features and other details that have been unveiled thus far about the OnePlus Fold.
Specifications and features
The OnePlus Fold is poised to showcase exceptional hardware, positioning itself as a formidable contender in the foldable smartphone arena. With an expected launch in August, industry sources have provided intriguing insights into its specifications and features.

The OnePlus Fold will boast of a sizable 7.8-inch foldable AMOLED display, delivering a stunning 2K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it will feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display on the exterior, also with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Powering this device will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the current flagship SoC, accompanied by an impressive 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device will be fueled by a substantial 4,800mAh battery, and while it won't offer the same 100W charging support as the flagship OnePlus 11, it will provide a respectable 67W charging capability out of the box.

In the camera department, the OnePlus Fold will showcase a triple-camera setup on its rear, featuring a primary 48MP camera sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 64MP telephoto camera sensor. Detailed information about optical zoom capabilities is yet to be confirmed. For selfies, users can expect a 32MP front camera on the cover screen and an additional 20MP front camera on the inner display.

The OnePlus Fold is expected to debut with Oxygen OS 13.1, based on Android 13, as its operating system. Leaked details reveal the inclusion of an alert slider and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, enhancing user convenience.

Design renders reveal a circular camera module on the OnePlus Fold, with the accompanying text confirming the integration of Hasselblad-tuned cameras. Both displays feature hole-punch cutouts, positioned at the center for the outer display and at the top left corner for the foldable inner display.

Based on the information available, it is evident that the OnePlus Fold will present itself as a premium offering, poised to rival the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, expected to launch in Seoul next month.
