  • Tinder just relaunched its "Desk Mode" feature.
  • Desk Mode is intended to help daters sneakily swipe through potential matches while at work.

Less work, more dating.

That's the idea behind the relaunch of Tinder's "Desk Mode" feature, a spicy take on $4 intended to help dating-app users sneakily swipe through matches while at work.

According to a Tinder spokesperson, a recent survey showed nearly a third of dating-app users have admitted to swiping while in a meeting, and 47% prefer to match and chat with others on company time rather than their own.

Launched Thursday, the feature is available to any Tinder user logged onto the site from their desktop.

On a desktop, users will see a small briefcase in the top left corner. If they click that icon, a Google-slides-looking webpage — with the heading "Meeting Notes" — will pop up, hiding Tinder's website.

The dating app has tried out the feature before, first launching it in 2017, a spokesperson said. This time around, the product is being released on National Intern Day, "as the art of multitasking will be hardest to master for the newest additions to the workforce."
