Xiaomi’s upcoming software version MIUI 14 was leaked before its official release. The leaked screenshots reveal some features and the list of devices supporting the update.
The Chinese tech giant hasn’t confirmed anything regarding MIUI 14, but a report from Xiaomiui has revealed the key information.
MIUI 13 was released almost a year ago and now MIUI 14 has hit the public domain and is expected to debut on August 16, as it is the 12th anniversary of MIUI. Also, the iteration of MIUI will be based on the upcoming Android 13, along with a slew of improvements and features.

MIUI 14 supported devices

The list shows that Xiaomi 13, 12, and 11 series will be eligible for MIUI 14. Other than these Xiaomi MI 11 series, Xiaomi Mix 4 and MI 10 series will receive the MIUI 14 update. Besides this, Xiaomi Pad 5 will be eligible for the latest custom skin.
Regarding Redmi devices, Note 11, 10, and 9 series will be eligible following Redmi K50, K40, and K30 series devices will be compatible with the upcoming MIUI 14.
MIUI 14 will be rolled out to Poco smartphones such as Poco M, C, F and X series.
On top of this, devices running on Android 11 along with MIUI 13 will not be eligible for MIUI 14 updates.

MIUI 14 features

Audio

The publication reveals that MIUI 14 will support Qualcomm LE Audio Bluetooth audio technology for better and stable sound quality. Also, MIUI 14 will bring Multi-stream for TWS earphones in which audio will be streamed simultaneously to both earphone sides along with Auracast broadcasting technology. With the help of Auracast broadcasting - a single device will act as an FM radio station broadcasting the same audio to multiple headphones.

Gallery app to get a text recognition feature

With this new feature, users can quickly copy text from documents you snapped, similar to iOS’s Live text feature. Also, the gallery app will get the ‘On this day’ feature, which will surface old photos shot on given days, months, and years ago, similar to ‘Memories’ from Google Photos.

Anti-fraud

MIUI 14 will have improved anti-fraud protection that will point out fraud messages, calls, and apps.

Notifications

MIUI 14 will allow you to declutter notifications directly from the home screen. Also, users can permanently disable notifications directly from the Notification Panel.
