Along with the launch of the Model X online configurator Tuesday morning, Tesla also sneakily bumped the price and the power output of the SUV's entry-level model.

Now, instead of the 70D Model X 70 kWh battery with 220 mile range, the base Model X is a 75D model with a 75 kWh battery and can reach 237 miles on a single charge. As a result, the Model X's starting price jumped from $80,000 to $83,000.

Sounds reasonable enough.

On Tuesday, the company also revealed an updated Model S that has a newly designed front-end and the same air purifying system found in the Model X.
