Before Disney World lifted its mask mandate, a lot of people were worried they'd get sick on vacation. But the park is ditching safety measures anyway.

• Recently, however, Disney has ditched many of its pandemic safety measures.
• Masks are no longer required outdoors, rides are being filled to capacity, and more.

$4 has recently updated and removed some of its pandemic safety measures throughout its US $4 as more Americans become vaccinated.

But only a few weeks ago, people who participated in $4 said they still had concerns about contracting COVID-19 at Disney theme parks.

Insider's survey was done through SurveyMonkey among 1,086 respondents, with a 3% margin of error. It ran on May 13, 2021.

Survey participants were asked: "How worried about safety would you be if you were to visit a Disney park?" They were then able to respond with either: "Extremely worried," "Very worried," "Somewhat worried," "Not so worried," or "Not worried at all."

Of the 1,079 people who responded to the question (seven participants skipped it), 641 people - about 59% of participants - said they felt some level of concern about visiting the company's theme parks.

Here's how respondents answered:

• Out of those who answered the question, 125 people said they'd feel "extremely worried" about safety if visiting a Disney theme park this year.
• Another 170 people said they'd feel "very worried."
• Approximately 32% of participants - 346 people - said they'd feel "somewhat worried" about safety at Disney parks.
• About 25% of participants - 275 people - said they'd feel "not so worried" about safety.
• Only 163 people said they wouldn't feel worried about safety "at all."

At the time Insider's survey was done, Disney World and Disneyland both required visitors to wear face masks at all times - both indoors and outdoors - except for when eating or drinking in stationary positions.

Starting May 15, however, Disney announced that it would no longer require parkgoers to wear masks in most outdoor locations. In early June, Inside the Magic reported that Disney World also started $4 in stores and on ride queues, and Blog Mickey reported that the theme park $4.

Earlier this year, Disney also began $4 at its entrance gates, according to CNN, and started $4.

Insider's recent poll found that hundreds of Americans say they won't consider visiting a Disney park this year $4, and that people who make under $75,000 per year are $4.
