  • Breeze Airways is adding eight new nonstop routes to Las Vegas in its latest network expansion.
  • The carrier will operate its amenity-heavy Airbus A220 aircraft on each route.

Breeze Airways is betting big on Las Vegas.

The rapidly growing low-cost carrier announced eight new routes to Sin City on Wednesday, growing its presence in the market to 11 nonstop flights. Breeze already flies to Las Vegas from Richmond, Virginia, Syracuse, New York, and Fort Myers, Florida.

Introductory fares will start at just $29 one-way, according to the company.

"With these and other coming new routes, Breeze has identified several unserved LAS markets and will soon make it even easier for travelers from across the country to fly to Las Vegas," $4

The carrier will fly its new Airbus A220 jet on all of the routes, which features $4. Breeze currently has 80 A220s on order, with an option for 40 more.

Premium cabins on budget airlines are rare, and competing carriers like Frontier Airlines and Allegiant Air do not offer comparable products. Spirit Airlines has the $4, but it does not recline or come with any added benefits, like a free checked bag or snack, like Breeze's "Nicest" fare does.

Breeze's A220s also offer an $4, which includes things like USB ports, a seatback phone stand, and adjustable headrests. These perks are absent from competing carriers.

The airline's ambition to provide a comfortable experience may be the key to its quick expansion, especially since Breeze is just 15 months old, having flown its inaugural flight on May 27, 2021.

As of September 2022, the carrier has a bustling network with 31 destinations, several of which are transcontinental nonstops not served by any other airline, like Richmond to San Francisco.

As the carrier continues to grow, it will continue offering routes with little to no competition to connect underserved secondary markets, which has $4.
