The agency’s budget is expected to increase by 35%, not only bolstering its own capabilities, but also facilitating the private sector.<br /><br />“We expect a steady increase in ISRO budget which can help even private sector players like SOIL in the longer run,” said ICICI Securities on its outlook for 2020. A budget, which <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/indian-government-approves-10-billion-budget-for-two-of-its-space-programs/articleshow/64492363.cms">hit ₹10 billion</a> in 2018. <br /><br />ISRO budget has a multiplier effect on the economy where the benefits of working on rockets and satellites spill over to the private sector. Solar Industries India, for example, has invested ₹175 million in Sky Root — a start-up working to build small rockets.<br /><br /><div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="70375311" title="ISRO’s commercial operations clock in over ₹60 billion in revenue but leaves private players out of the equation" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div>

<br />Companies like Walchandnagar Industries, Godrej Space and L&amp;T are already working with ISRO to manufacture rocket sub-systems.<br /><br />And, many more are just waiting on the sidelines to come into the fold.<br /><br /><strong>Shifting towards the private sector<br /></strong><br />In the future, ISRO disclosed plans of moving the entire development of its Polar Satellite Vehicle Launchers (PSLVs) to the private sector. “We will be fully supporting this activity; we will invest and create this capability,” <a href="https://www.thehindubusinessline.com/news/science/isro-ready-to-support-private-rocket-launching-companies/article29331986.ece#">S Somnath</a>, director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center told reporters.<br /><br />And, since ISRO has shown an interest in private participation — the industry has responded in kind, A Rajarajan, Director of the Satish Dhawan Space Center told <a href="https://www.business-standard.com/article/current-affairs/private-firms-keen-on-working-with-isro-for-manufacturing-rockets-official-119121601306_1.html">Business Standard</a>. This is not just for manufacturing different parts of a rocket which are then assembled at ISRO — but also for high energy material, like propellants, high explosives and others.<br /><br />Over the next 6 to 9 years, ISRO — along with its revamped commercial arm <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/union-budget-2019-isros-new-commerical-arm-is-new-space-india-limited/articleshow/70086097.cms">New Space India Limited</a> — has planned 15,000 launches. Companies like Agnikul Cosmos, Skyroot, and Bellatrix are already attempting to build small rockets.<br /><br /><strong>The potential of the <keyword id="7803428" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Space-Activities-Bill">Space Activities Bill</keyword><br /></strong><br />Private companies can’t actually launch a satellite into space until the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/india-space-activities-bill-addresses-damage-in-outer-space/articleshow/69960212.cms">Space Activities Bill</a> becomes a law. The pending piece of legislation would allow India’s private sector to participate in the satellite launch market. Rowling,</a> is still known for its <a href="https://www.insider.com/what-harry-potter-films-did-wrong-from-the-books">magical scenes</a>, sets, and fantastical <a href="https://www.insider.com/unique-halloween-costumes-from-harry-potter-2020-9">costumes</a>.</p><p>Insider recently spoke with Jany Temime, the award-winning costume designer who created looks for "Prisoner of Azkaban" through "Deathly Hallows - Part 2," over a FaceTime voice call about <a href="https://www.insider.com/harry-potter-costume-designer-on-iconic-villain-looks">how she made outfits for the series' villains</a> and heroes. </p><p>During the conversation, Temime shared behind-the-scenes stories of how she designed iconic wizard garb, <a href="https://www.insider.com/big-differences-between-harry-potter-books-and-movies">including Hogwarts uniforms</a>, Hermione's Yule Ball dress, and Luna Lovegood's jewelry.</p><p>Read on for some insight into her creative process.</p><h2><strong>Temime put a darker, modern spin on wizard costumes when she joined the series for 'Prisoner of Azkaban'</strong></h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban" height="792" width="1914" msid="79249006" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p>As soon as Temime was offered the opportunity to design costumes for "Prisoner of Azkaban," the third film, she knew that she wanted to <a href="https://www.insider.com/harry-potter-fantastic-beasts-movies-ranked-2018-12">put a modern spin on wizard attire.</a></p><p>By this point in the series, the majority of characters and the movie's target audience were tweens or teens.</p><p>"I thought that we should not make it at all like 'Christmas Carol,' that we should make it very urban. Very reachable for children, for teenagers," Temime said. "We should dress Harry and the kids like they are dressing themselves."</p><p>That's why in the third film, the Golden Trio — Harry Potter (played by <a href="https://www.insider.com/daniel-radcliffe-best-and-worst-movies-ranked-photos">Daniel Radcliffe</a>), Ron Weasley (played by Rupert Grint), and Hermione Granger (played by <a href="https://www.insider.com/emma-watsons-movies-ranked-from-worst-to-best">Emma Watson</a>) — wears jeans and sweatshirts when they rescue Harry's godfather, Sirius Black (played by Gary Oldman), and why some <a href="https://www.insider.com/best-movies-to-watch-if-you-loved-harry-potter">Hogwarts students</a> have unkempt shirts and ties during their lessons. </p><h2><strong>The Hogwarts uniforms were some of the most expensive costumes to make since they incorporated silk ties and wool sweaters</strong></h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="harry potter prisoner of azkaban" height="1000" width="1503" msid="79249008" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p>Out of everything Temime designed for the films, she said that the Hogwarts uniforms were some of the priciest clothes to produce due to the high quantity required and the high-quality materials she selected. </p><p>"I never wanted to use anything but the most perfect material," she said. "The ties are in silk, we used wool [for the sweaters], we used a very expensive material for the gowns." </p><p>When the <a href="https://www.insider.com/category/wizarding-world-of-harry-potter">Wizarding World of Harry Potter</a> opened at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, she even recreated the Hogwarts uniforms for the theme park with the same deluxe fabrics. </p><p>"I remember when we reproduced them for the Orlando park, they couldn't believe the quality of it," Temime said. "It was so expensive."</p><h2><strong>She said 'Goblet of Fire' was one of the most challenging films to costume</strong></h2><div type="image" title="Beauxbaton - Harry Potter Goblet of Fire" height="800" width="1903" msid="79249011" hostid="261"></div><p><a href="https://www.insider.com/explanation-of-major-deaths-in-the-harry-potter-series-ranking">"Goblet of Fire,"</a> the fourth installment in the series, introduces two additional wizarding schools to the "Harry Potter" canon: Beauxbatons Academy, located in southern France near the Pyrenees Mountains, and Durmstrang Institute, an establishment situated in an unspecified part of northern Europe.</p><p>When designing uniforms for these additional wizarding schools, Temime said she sought inspiration from "a melting pot of different influences," ranging from history to folklore. </p><p>For the Beauxbatons uniform, which comprises a blue silk dress with a matching shawl and felt hat, Temime was drawn to a symbol from her own heritage and a color that hadn't been used before in the films. </p><p>"I'm French myself, so I thought well, I'm going to use blue because this is the color of the French royalist flag — nothing to do with them being royalists," said Temime, who thought it would be amusing if the Beauxbatons students were underdressed <a href="https://www.insider.com/surprising-things-about-moving-from-us-to-uk">for the cold climate in Scotland</a>, where Hogwarts is located. </p><div type="image" title="Durmstrang - Harry Potter Goblet of Fire" height="793" width="1911" msid="79249017" hostid="261"></div><p>As for Durmstrang, whose students wear crimson robes, fur hats, and fur capes, Temime looked to Slavic folktales for inspiration. </p><p>"[These uniforms are] very heavy and they come from a different sort of culture, which is the Russian folklore or the Hapsburg folklore," she said. </p><p>By basing her designs for Beauxbatons and Durmstrang on iconography that young viewers might recognize from literature and pop culture, she aimed to make costumes that were at once specific and familiar. </p><p>"I was trying to make it as … universal as possible and not keep it English at all. What was English was the uniform and the boarding school," she told Insider. "The rest of it was a melting pot of different influences."</p><h2><strong>Temime had fun crafting outfits for the Yule Ball — especially Hermione's elegant gown and Ron's comically frilly dress robe</strong></h2><div type="image" title="hermione yule ball viktoir" height="600" width="900" msid="79249020" hostid="261"></div><p>There may not be a prom at Hogwarts, but there is a fabulous winter fête called the Yule Ball, held in honor of the <a href="https://www.insider.com/harry-potter-fantastic-beasts-movies-ranked-2018-12">Triwizard Tournament during the fourth film. </a></p><p>Two of Temime's favorite looks from this festive scene are <a href="https://www.insider.com/best-witches-movies-tv-2018-9">Hermione's gown</a> and <a href="https://www.insider.com/weasleys-interesting-details-from-harry-potter-fun-facts">Ron's frilly dress robe.</a></p><p>As she designed the elegant gown <a href="https://www.insider.com/emma-watsons-movies-ranked-from-worst-to-best">Watson</a> wears, a "volant" (French for "flying") dress made with pink fabric that cascades in an ombré effect, the challenge was to balance sweetness and allure.</p><p>She wanted it to be doll-like and appropriate for a teenager, but slightly sexy. </p><p>"I had that image of a doll because usually [Hermione is] the best of the class, she's a tough girl, and suddenly she had a fragility," Temime said. A 'Harry Potter' costume designer shares secrets about iconic looks, from Hermione's Yule Ball dress to Luna Lovegood's earrings

New Delhi, May 21 (IANSlife) In India, one thread that binds us unequivocally as a nation, one ritual that truly symbolises 'unity in diversity is our love for tea. The tea culture in India has evolved with changing trends and preferences.<br /><br />This International Tea Day, IANSlife spoke to Karan Shah, the fourth generation director of Society Tea who takes us on the journey of tea in India and its changing trends. He also speaks about the challenges faced by the industry and shares some myths and facts related to tea.<br /><br />How do you think the tea culture has evolved in India? And where do you see it heading? <br /><br />Shah: With the changing times we have seen the palates of Indians develop too, implying an alteration in the tea market. From a regular and masala chai, to an elaichi, ginger, lemon and more -- one thing has, however, remained the same: people like to experiment and get innovative with their steaming cups of invigorating chai. Moreover, there is a strong inclination towards healthy and immunity boosting green teas and the chilled yet refreshing iced teas.<br /><br /> But with the changing trends, do you think the traditional tea is losing its importance?<br /><br />Shah: The love for 'traditional tea' is undeniable all across India. Although there has been a shift in the tea culture of the country , one thing we are witness to is the fact that love for traditional taste of tea, the household favourite blend of the aromatic Indian spices- the masala chai is always going to stay.<br /><br />A study conducted by the Tea Board of India revealed some interesting consumption patterns among Indian tea drinkers:<br /><br />About 80 percent tea drinkers in India consume it either with or before breakfast<br /><br />The eastern states of India especially West Bengal have a remarkably high tea consumption when compared to North, West or South India<br /><br />Tea is regularly consumed in about 64 percent of homes in India and by 96 percent of the family members residing therein<br /><br />More than 80 percent Indians prefer their tea with added milk<br /><br />About 70 percent of Indians prefer buying tea from local grocery stores<br /><br />While these have been true for India as a market, we have observed some shifts picking up in the country. Two major trend for the coming year are rise in Premix Teas and Herbal blends.<br /><br />Premix Teas: There was a time when premixes suffered from a bad image, labelled as an unhealthy alternative to traditional tea. However, there has been a complete shift in perception. The market for instant premix tea has grown at a healthy rate since 2011. While the most popular flavours in the market is masala, other blends include lemongrass, ginger lemongrass etc.<br /><br />Herbal blends: While green tea now enjoys good awareness levels and is fast catching up, herbal blends are on a rapid rise too. Teas infused with flavours of ginger, tulsi, mulethi, stinging nettle tea etc. are known to boost immunity, fight against cancerous cells and soothe throat troubles. Not just this, but a warm cup of tea will help you fight against cavities, which is great for your oral health.<br /><br />What challenges is the tea industry facing at present?<br /><br />Shah: Tea is a natural product and there are a lot of factors involved - like the health of the bush, the natural light etc. These factors are major contributor that bring about variations in taste, blends, liquor etc. As a brand or for any tea player, the biggest challenge will always be to stabilise these factors and give consistent taste &amp; quality of the product.<br /><br />Tell us some myths and facts about tea?<br /><br />Shah: There have been numerous myths surrounding tea, one of which is tea is dehydrating. Tea is actually diuretic which means it helps in water retention. Also there is a misconception that green tea, black tea, white tea come from different tea buds. Rowling's books are absent <a href="https://www.insider.com/harry-potter-fantastic-beasts-movies-ranked-2018-12">from the movies,</a> but one of the biggest missed opportunities lies in the pages of "<keyword id="1203816" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="60" keywordseo="Harry-Potter-and-the-Order-of-the-Phoenix">Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix</keyword>."</p><p>The central scene in book five, chapter 29, "Careers Advice," is far from just a fleeting moment, and it was a great disservice to omit it from the fifth film. </p><h2>The scene centers on an interrupted career-advice meeting between Harry and McGonagall</h2><p>Hogwarts may be a school like no other, but even young witches and wizards can't escape the universal tradition of a career-advice meeting.</p><p>In "Order of the Phoenix," the students are issued individual appointments with their Head of House.</p><p>When Harry arrives (late, might I add) for his meeting with McGonagall, he discovers that Hogwarts' High Inquisitor and newly-instated Headmistress, <a href="https://www.insider.com/harry-potter-costume-designer-on-iconic-villain-looks">Professor Umbridge</a>, has invited herself to the proceedings.</p><div type="image" title="Dolores Umbridge Harry Potter" height="791" width="1054" msid="79827068" hostid="261"></div><p>The insufferable ministry darling - who, along with Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, has a personal gripe with Harry - seems intent on undermining the authority of Hogwarts' long-standing teachers.</p><p>Unsurprisingly, McGonagall has little patience for this.</p><h2><strong>In the scene, Professor McGonagall verbally eviscerates Professor Umbridge in a way readers only wish they could</strong></h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="McGonagall desk" height="555" width="740" msid="79827070" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p>Harry tells McGonagall that he wants to be an Auror, which is a type of law-enforcement officer who investigates the use of the Dark Arts. It seems like a perfectly reasonable career choice given that Harry successfully dueled with <a href="https://www.insider.com/interesting-things-you-might-not-know-about-voldemort-harry-potter-trivia">Lord Voldemort</a>, and lived to tell the tale.</p><p>McGonagall responds by informing him of what academic qualifications he'll need in order to be considered for the Ministry position.</p><p>It's a seemingly straightforward exchange, except for the fact that Umbridge continuously interrupts the conversation by faking a cough and clearing her throat.</p><p>Without so much as looking at her colleague, McGonagall wryly says, "May I offer you a cough drop, Dolores?"</p><p>It's a simple line, expertly delivered by an increasingly-impatient McGonagall. But Umbridge persists, launching a full-blown attack on Harry's career plans, boldly stating, "Potter has no chance whatsoever of becoming an Auror."</p><p>Incensed, McGonagall tells Harry, "I will assist you to become an Auror if it is the last thing I do. If I have to coach you nightly, I will make sure you achieve the required results."</p><p>The exchange is fiery and unrelenting, and the message is clear: Umbridge may have the Ministry of Magic behind her, but Harry has McGonagall in his corner.</p><h2><strong>'Order of the Phoenix' is an emotionally taxing story, and the scene provided some much-needed comic relief</strong></h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="umbridge harry potter" height="1598" width="2130" msid="79827072" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p>"Order of the Phoenix" is <a href="https://www.insider.com/explanation-of-major-deaths-in-the-harry-potter-series-ranking">filled with despair</a>, as Voldemort continues to gain strength and influence after his flesh-and-bone return to the world.</p><p>Echoing Voldemort's initial rise to power, people are, once again, going missing or dying under strange circumstances. Harry is having his mind ravaged most nights by dream-like visions from his intense connection to Voldemort. And Umbridge is wreaking havoc on Hogwarts.</p><p>Yet there are genuine moments of laughter, happiness, and silliness in the installment.</p><p>McGonagall asking Umbridge if she needs a cough drop is a perfect example. The wryness of the question, delivered by a deadpan McGonagall, is genuinely funny. </p><p>The scene also changed the overall feeling of the rebellion against Umbridge and her tyrannical reign.</p><p>Yes, there was serious work to be done in overthrowing Hogwarts' unwanted dictator, but there was also fun to be had.</p><p>It was humorous to witness McGonagall, and later the students, run circles around Umbridge - who despite her best efforts, always seemed to be one step behind.</p><p>I think the film's audience would have undoubtedly benefited from watching the exchange between McGonagall and Umbridge. Particularly because it would have allowed them to see that the Hogwarts' staff was actively fighting long before the final battle. </p><h2><strong>McGonagall's open defiance of Umbridge seemed to inspire other rebellions at Hogwarts</strong></h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="dumbledores army" height="1204" width="1605" msid="79827076" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p>"Order of the Phoenix" is a turning point in the "Harry Potter" series.</p><p>Umbridge's rule over Hogwarts only intensifies Harry's ongoing fight with the Ministry of Magic. But seeing a well-respected professor like McGonagall resist in a dignified way seemed to help inspire Harry to start <a href="https://www.insider.com/dumbledore-interesting-facts-from-harry-potter-fun-facts">Dumbledore's</a> Army to fight back.</p><p>And after this scene when McGonagall refuses to bow down and play nice, the teachers at Hogwarts also start preparing for battle.</p><p>Her rebellion made room for professors Flitwick, Sprout, and <a href="https://www.insider.com/severus-snape-interesting-things-from-harry-potter-trivia">even Snape</a> to resist Umbridge's dictatorship-like hold over the school in "Order of the Phoenix."</p><p><strong><div type="image" title="McGonagall battle of hogwarts" height="722" width="963" msid="79827079" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p>This fighting spirit comes to fruition two years later in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," when the professors face the ultimate fight for justice and peace during the Battle of Hogwarts.</p><p>Emulating the defiance she displayed in the career-advice meeting, McGonagall immediately gets to work, protecting the school and its students from the dark forces attempting to penetrate the castle.</p><p>Following suit, Flitwick puts his Charms skills to good use by casting protective spells, while Sprout - along with a group of faithful students - raids the Herbology greenhouses for anything that can be used as weaponry against the Death Eaters.</p><h2><strong>Above all, the scene highlights McGonagall's shift from Harry's protector to his ally</strong></h2><p>McGonagall has been protecting Harry since he was a baby in "Sorcerer's Stone" when she - disguised in her feline form - stood guard outside the Dursley residence awaiting Dumbledore's arrival with the newly-orphaned wizard.</p><p>Concerned about what kind of life Harry might have with his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia, McGonagall staunchly said of the Dursley couple: "These people will never understand him."</p><p>The straight-talking Transfiguration professor also kept a watchful eye over Harry during his years at Hogwarts - but the "Careers Advice" chapter is when we see just how deeply McGonagall cares for Harry.</p><p>Her goal isn't just to keep him safe, it's also to back him up and serve as a trusted ally.</p><p>And later, it was she who Harry turned to when he came to Hogwarts for the final battle in <a href="https://www.insider.com/big-differences-between-harry-potter-books-and-movies">"Deathly Hallows."</a> Without hesitation, the professor asked Harry what he needed her to do and got to work protecting the castle and other students - which allowed Harry to carry out his own mission. </p><p>And this strong allyship was also felt by Harry, who later cast the torturous Cruciatus Curse on a Death Eater who dared to spit in McGonagall's face. </p><h2>It was a mistake to cut the 'Careers Advice' scene from the fifth <keyword id="6356021" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="movie">movie</keyword></h2><div type="image" title="McGonagall harry potter" height="751" width="1001" msid="79827081" hostid="261"></div><p>McGonagall and Umbridge's clash in "Order of the Phoenix" is a relatively short interaction in what is undoubtedly a very long book. But since then, Harry Potter Day has gotten more and more intricate.</p><p><strong>Teacher Heather Carroll was a student at the school when the first Harry Potter Day took place. Rowling set 19 years after the last "Harry Potter" novel, we have a new villain. Delphi is the daughter of Lord Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange, and she wants to change the past so that her father can rule the world.</p><p>But where was Delphi for the past couple of decades? Apparently, she spent her early years under the care of Euphemia Rowle.</p><p>We know about the Rowle name because of <a href="https://www.pottermore.com/features/who-are-the-sacred-twenty-eight">Thorfinn Rowle</a>, one of the Death Eaters who pledged allegiance to Voldemort. We also know <a href="https://www.pottermore.com/writing-by-jk-rowling/pure-blood">the Rowle name is one of the so-called "Sacred Twenty-Eight" pure-blood families</a>, meaning they supposedly aren't descended from any Muggles.</p><p>But Euphemia Rowle doesn't show up in ANY of the "Harry Potter" novels. But she does show up in one place: <a href="http://notwilde.insanejournal.com/386.html">a fanfiction written by someone who seems to be named Alison S. Green, posting under the name notwilde on InsaneJournal</a>.</p><p>As far as I can tell, <a href="https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome-psyapi2&amp;ion=1&amp;espv=2&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;q=%22Euphemia%20Rowle%22&amp;oq=%22euphemia%20rowle&amp;aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57.2704j0j7">the name doesn't show up anywhere else on the internet</a>, even though "Cursed Child" has been in previews on stage in London for weeks.</p><p>There's a lot of "Harry Potter" fan fiction out there. It's cool, but not <em>that</em> crazy that someone came up with the same character name as J.K. Rowling. <strong>But what makes it eerie is that the details of Rowling's Euphemia Rowle and the details of <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/20160731100650/http://notwilde.insanejournal.com/386.html">the fan fiction's Euphemia Rowle</a> totally match up.</strong> </p><p>The fan fiction comes in the form of a character sketch of a (also made-up) Death Eater named<span> Oscar Robert Ketteridge. He graduated from Hogwarts (Slytherin) in 1965, and married Euphemia Rowle a few years later. He fell in with Voldemort while pursuing her:</span></p><p><span>Euphemia graduated in 1967, which puts her in her 30s when Voldemort was at the height of his power. It also means she was rather old when raising Delphi, which makes sense. Delphi made Euphemia sound like a neglectful guardian who had better things to do than take care of a child: "She didn't like me much," Delphi said. "Euphemia Rowle . . . she only took me in for the gold."</span></p><p>It's hard to tell when exactly the fan fiction was posted. The post date was manually changed to the year 2020. But the book version of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" came out just hours ago, as of writing, and it's unlikely that the author wrote such an extensive fan fiction in that amount of time.</p><p>It's possible that Green saw the play's previews and then wrote her fan fiction. <p>After giving the traditional description for the musical, the pair humorously described the film according to the actor's previous roles, or as Jackman said, "2013 terms":</p>

<p class="p1">"Catwoman gets knocked up and for some ungodly reason goes to see Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter and Borat."</p>
<p class="p1">After comments from the Twitterverse, <a href="http://mashable.com/2013/01/28/sag-awards-les-miserables-meme-hathaway-jackman/" target="_blank">Mashable</a> pointed out that the actors' dialogue seems particularly close to a popular Internet meme which got passed around after the film's December release reviewing the film in a similar fashion.</p>
<p class="p1">The concepts in the meme are by no stretch of the imagination difficult to draw forth, so it's difficult to believe no one else made the connection. (Who doesn't see Wolverine when looking at Jackman?)</p>
