New Delhi, Jan 23 () Shares of Larsen &amp; Toubro on Thursday jumped nearly 3 per cent, a day after the engineering major posted a 15 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for December 2019 quarter.
 Intra-day, the stock touched a high of Rs 1,339.50, up 3.49 per cent on the BSE. Later, it gave up some early gains to close 2.98 per cent higher at Rs 1,332.80.
 On the NSE, the scrip rose 3.52 per cent to hit a high of Rs 1,339.85 during the day. It settled with a gain of 2.80 per cent at Rs 1,330.45.
 In terms of volume, 7.41 lakh shares were traded on the BSE, while over 1 crore shares changed hands on the NSE.
 On the BSE, the spurt in volume was more than 9.07 times during the day.
 The company on Wednesday reported a 15 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 2,560.32 crore for quarter to December 2019, helped by higher revenues from international contracts.
 It had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 2,218.68 crore in the same period a year ago.
 Its total income during October-December increased to Rs 36,717.60 crore as against Rs 34,823.08 crore in Q3 FY19. RUJ

New Delhi, Feb 6 () Leading basmati rice firm LT Foods on Thursday posted a 26 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 48.18 crore for the third quarter of 2019-20 on lower expenses. The company's net profit stood at Rs 38.22 crore during the October-December quarter of 2018-19, according to a BSE filing. Net income declined to Rs 997.60 crore during the third quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal from Rs 1,116.79 crore in the year-ago period. Expenses remained lower at Rs 930.11 crore when compared with Rs 1,050.97 crore in the said period. LT Foods is engaged in milling, processing and marketing of branded and non-branded basmati rice. It has manufacturing units of rice food products in India and the international market. L&T Technology Services gains more than 18% in a day on strong financials

New Delhi, Jan 22 () Engineering and construction major Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) on Wednesday posted a 15 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 2,560.32 crore for the quarter to December 31, on the back of higher income.
 The company had clocked a consolidated net profit after tax and share in profit/(loss) of joint ventures/associates from continuing operations of Rs 2,218.68 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing to the BSE.
Its consolidated total income during October-December increased to Rs 36,717.60 crore, against Rs 34,823.08 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said.
Total expenses also increased to Rs 33,494.37 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 31,421.86 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
"The company successfully won new orders worth Rs 41,579 crore at the group level during the quarter ended December 31, 2019, amid subdued business environment. International orders during the quarter at Rs 17,901 crore increased to 43 per cent of the total order inflow, on large value order wins in power transmission and distribution and metallurgical and material handling business," the company said in a statement. 
The consolidated order book of the group stood at Rs 3,06,280 crore as on December 31, 2019, registering a reasonably high growth of 5 per cent over March 2019. NAM MKJ

L&T Q3 consolidated net profit up 15% at Rs 2,560 crore

New Delhi, Jan 17 () IT company L&amp;T Technology Services on Friday posted a 10 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 204 crore during the quarter ended December 31, 2019 mainly on account of business growth in North America.
 The company had posted a net profit of Rs 185.6 crore in the same period a year ago.
 "We had a strong performance in three segments - transportation, plant engineering, and medical devices that are each growing in excess of 20 per cent on year-on-year (YoY) basis. Digital and leading-edge technologies - the growth driver for ER&amp;D ( Engineering and R&amp;D), contributed to 41 per cent of third quarter revenues and grew by 29 per cent YoY," L&amp;T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) CEO and Managing Director Keshab Panda said in a statement.
 The company's revenue increased 8.1 per cent to Rs 1,423 crore in the quarter from Rs 1,316.9 crore in October-December 2018-19.
 "We are seeing a new set of opportunities as customers seek disruptive technologies like AI, sensor fusion and industrial robotics to strengthen their market competitiveness," Panda said.
 The company opened its 9th design center outside India, Aerospace and Defense Engineering Design Center in Rockford, Illinois (US), that will cater to the development of high-performance engineering solutions for the global aerospace and defence industry. The revenue of the company from telecom and high-tech segment declined 26.7 per cent on year-on-year basis.
 LTTS' revenue in North American market grew by 13.7 per cent, while it recorded dip in all other main markets. 
 The company's revenue in Europe and India declined by 6.3 per cent and 1.8 per cent, respectively.
 Onsite projects contributed 44 per cent to the total revenue of the company and the rest was from offshore projects.
 Shares of LTTS closed at Rs 1,634.8 apiece on the BSE on Friday, 1.15 per cent lower than the previous close. PRS RVK
