BevQ, Kerala’s liquor home delivery app, is ‘on the rocks’ with a 2.1 rating on the Google Play Store

<ul><li><keyword id="12724311" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="blinkit" source="Orion">Blinkit</keyword> on Thursday announced to deliver printouts.</li><li>The service will be available in some areas under the pilot before a wider rollout takes place.</li><li>Blinkit was acquired by <keyword id="830092" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="zomato" source="Orion">Zomato</keyword> for ₹4,447 crore.</li></ul>Zomato-owned Blinkit on Thursday announced to deliver printouts at your doorsteps in 11 minutes, a move that will be useful for parents and working professionals alike. The 10-minute delivery platform, acquired by Zomato for ₹4,447 crore (about $568 million) sand the curreny facility is available in some areas now. "Have never had a printer at home and getting it from cyber cafe or library or neighbours or offices has always been cumbersome specially when it's needed at the point of approaching deadlines," said Jitesh Goel, Product at Blinkit. "This should be really useful specially at the rates it is available at. You just have to upload the file and we will deliver it to you in minutes. And we will delete the uploaded file after delivery. Do try it out and share your feedback," he said in a LinkedIn post. The new service on the platform arrives as Zomato is set to experiment with cross leveraging its customers base for Blinkit and vice versa. "We will also start working on integrating the delivery fleet back-ends which should drive higher delivery efficiency over time," Zomato Founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal said recently. Tech integrations between the two companies will accelerate the pace of progress at both ends, he added. According to the company, the losses for Blinkit are coming down every month -- from ₹2,040 million (about $26 million) in January 2022 to ₹929 million ($12 million) in July. The company said that Blinkit has also shut down a number of unviable dark stores, which were not scaling and the team will continue to evaluate non-performing stores. In just six months, the Blinkit business has scaled to 20 per cent of Zomato's food delivery GOV while being present in less than 15 cities. Zomato’s quick commerce app Blinkit to deliver printouts at your doorsteps in 11 Minutes

In a move aimed at countering competition from online marketplaces, <keyword id="66" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Delhi">Delhi</keyword>'s SelectCity Walk mall has introduced a home delivery service available in the Delhi-NCR region. 
 
"As a mall we cannot give discounts like online marketplaces, but we can provide them convenience and technology in order to keep the mall adept with the latest changing trends to which our customer is attracted and adapting," Yogeshwar Sharma, ED of SelectCity Walk told Economic Times. 
 
"We have already done a successful pilot and now we are confident to take this initiative at a large scale," Sharma added. "Today, we handle 20-25 deliveries without any marketing with a very small team and investment, but we know the number would be quite large once it is implemented fully." 
 
The mall is also working on displaying all product prices of each store on its website. "This would require huge investment, which would be our next level of services to allow customers shop from our mall through online, but still we would prefer that the mall still remains a favourite destination to visit for our customers," Sharma said.

Delhi's Select CityWalk Mall launches home delivery service to compete with etailers

E-commerce giant Amazon and Alibaba-backed <keyword id="964794" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="BigBasket">BigBasket</keyword> have got approval to deliver liquor in West Bengal, according to a document. Online grocery platform BigBasket said this will be the company's first foray into the country's liquor delivery segment. The clearance also signals Amazon's entry into the space, likely for the first in India. State-owned West Bengal State Beverages Corporation Ltd (BevCo) invited the two companies to sign the agreements for empanelment for home delivery after finding them eligible, as per a notice dated June 19. BevCo, the sole wholesaler of liquor in West Bengal, also invited two Kolkata-based companies -- Senrysa Technologies Pvt Ltd and Golden Goenka Commerce Pvt Ltd for the signing of agreements. Asked when BigBasket would start operations, its CEO Hari Menon told PTI, "I cannot confirm now how soon we will start, but yes it will be the first for the company." Amazon did not comment on the approval. Food ordering platforms <keyword id="830092" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Zomato">Zomato</keyword> and <keyword id="6358977" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="swiggy">Swiggy</keyword> have already started delivering alcohol in West Bengal with Kolkata and Siliguri after getting the required approvals, followed by the signing of agreements. Retailer Spencer's and HipBar have also joined the fray as the government allowed <keyword id="9025707" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="home-delivery-of-alcohol">home delivery of alcohol</keyword> to reduce footfall at stores amid the coronavirus outbreak. New Delhi, May 15 () Cult bike maker Harley-Davidson on Friday said it has launched home delivery for its motorcycles besides extending service warranties in the wake of the COVID-19 induced lockdown. Continuing with contactless services, the company has formalized the Harley-Davidson Home Delivery program, Harley-Davidson India said in a statement. "This will help customers explore the range of Harley-Davidson models on H-D.com and then directly connect with a dealer expert via the dealer locator to discuss their purchase and payment opportunities. Home deliveries are free for distance up to 40kms from the dealership and chargeable for every extra kilometer," it added. Harley-Davidson Managing Director - Asia Emerging Markets and India Sajeev Rajasekharan said, "For an experiential brand like ours, it is critical to stay engaged with customers and enthusiasts continuously, keeping them hooked to the brand. We have introduced a number of initiatives to keep them motivated and look forward to riding." As part of several initiatives launched in April and May, the company said it is also offering 30-day extension for Harley owners whose product warranties are expiring during the lockdown period. "The brand will also provide a 60-day extension to customers who fall under the HDFS (Harley-Davidson Financial Services) planned maintenance program.
