New Delhi, <keyword id="188376" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="LT-Foods" source="Orion">LT Foods</keyword> Ltd on Monday reported a 64.86 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 157.26 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, helped by expansion in domestic and foreign markets. It had reported a net profit of Rs 95.39 crore for the July-September quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by LT Foods Ltd, which owns basmati rice brands -- Daawat and Royal. Its revenue from operation increased 14.66 per cent to Rs 1,977.78 crore during the quarter under review. It was Rs 1,724.83 crore a year ago. The total expenses in the September quarter surged 11.94 per cent to Rs 1,792.33 crore. Its total income in the September quarter rose 15.02 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,991.81 crore. LT Foods Managing Director and CEO Ashwani Arora said: "Our ongoing efforts to expand our presence in India and International markets have yielded substantial results, with our total business growing by 13 per cent during H1 FY24 and profit after tax (PAT) grew by 55 per cent". LT Foods is a leading player globally in the speciality rice and rice-based foods business. Over the outlook, Arora said in response to the evolving consumer trends and preferences, LT Foods will grow its core business and innovate and introduce new product offerings diversifying its product portfolio. "We are confident of continued improvement in our performance over the long term and in our ability to deliver consistent, sustainable, profitable, and responsible growth," he said. Shares of LT Foods Ltd on Monday were trading at Rs 162.25 on BSE during the afternoon, down 0.46 per cent from the previous close.

LT Foods Q2 2023-24 net profit rises 64.8% to Rs 157.26 cr

The country's largest lender <keyword id="13222" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sbi" source="Orion">SBI</keyword> on Saturday reported a 9.13 per cent growth in consolidated net profit for the September quarter to Rs 16,099.58 crore. The state-run lender had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 14,752 crore in the year-ago period and Rs 18,356 crore in the June quarter. On a standalone basis, it posted a net profit of Rs 14,330.02 crore as against Rs 13,264.52 crore in the year-ago period. The bank, which controls over a fifth of the overall market and has the widest network in the country, reported a total income of over Rs 1.12 lakh crore for the quarter under review, up from Rs 88,733 crore in the year-ago period. From an asset quality perspective, its gross non-performing assets ratio was at 2.55 per cent as of September 30, an improvement from the 3.52 per cent in the year-ago period and the 2.76 per cent in the first quarter of the current fiscal. Its overall capital adequacy stood at 14.28 per cent as of September 30. L&T Tech announces dividend of ₹14.50  even as revenue for the year dips by 3%

New Delhi, Jan 22 () Engineering and construction major Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) on Wednesday posted a 15 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 2,560.32 crore for the quarter to December 31, on the back of higher income.
 The company had clocked a consolidated net profit after tax and share in profit/(loss) of joint ventures/associates from continuing operations of Rs 2,218.68 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing to the BSE.
Its consolidated total income during October-December increased to Rs 36,717.60 crore, against Rs 34,823.08 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said.
Total expenses also increased to Rs 33,494.37 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 31,421.86 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
"The company successfully won new orders worth Rs 41,579 crore at the group level during the quarter ended December 31, 2019, amid subdued business environment. International orders during the quarter at Rs 17,901 crore increased to 43 per cent of the total order inflow, on large value order wins in power transmission and distribution and metallurgical and material handling business," the company said in a statement. 
The consolidated order book of the group stood at Rs 3,06,280 crore as on December 31, 2019, registering a reasonably high growth of 5 per cent over March 2019. NAM MKJ

New Delhi, Feb 6 () Leading basmati rice firm LT Foods on Thursday posted a 26 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 48.18 crore for the third quarter of 2019-20 on lower expenses. The company's net profit stood at Rs 38.22 crore during the October-December quarter of 2018-19, according to a BSE filing. Net income declined to Rs 997.60 crore during the third quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal from Rs 1,116.79 crore in the year-ago period. Expenses remained lower at Rs 930.11 crore when compared with Rs 1,050.97 crore in the said period. LT Foods is engaged in milling, processing and marketing of branded and non-branded basmati rice. It has manufacturing units of rice food products in India and the international market.
