Indian wrestler, Sakshi Malik, has withdrawn from the protest against the President of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, over sexual misconduct allegations, after a meeting with India’s Home Minister, Amit Shah. Delhi Police had registered two FIRs against Singh on 28 April based on complaints of sexual harassment and intimidation, with one filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. India’s top wrestling athletes have been protesting against Singh for the last few months, requesting disciplinary action against him for his alleged crimes.
