Employees of online marketplaces are working extra hours during festive season sale period and the employers are noticing the hard work.
To keep the zing going among the employees, e-Commerce firms like Paytm, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Amazon, etc are giving free food, cash prizes and even free holiday to them.
There is 24X7 drop service for female staff.
"We have launched a special rewards programme to cater to our teams that work on special sales. Under this, the top performers of the team are rewarded with a cash prize every month. Besides this, we have sent out the best performing teams for holidays overseas. We have also given moon-shot bonuses to the top performing teams," Amit Sinha, vice president at Paytm, told ET.
The companies are spending on employees as a part ofemployee engagement programme . Sometimes, companies even hire employees on contract during peak season.
