Diwali is just around the corner, the long weekend is here, and most of us are set to plan the festivities. Be it curating playlists or binge-watching movies and TV shows on OTT platforms like Prime Video, Netflix, Apple TV+, and others.

OTT platforms offer some great content that can be watched with friends, siblings, and family and ring together in the fervor of the festivities. While Netflix and Prime Video are popular and offer great shows, some hidden gems are streaming on Apple TV+, the iPhone maker’s OTT platform.

If you are confused and still figuring out what to watch, here are shows from Prime Video, Netflix, and Apple TV+ that you can enjoy watching with your family this long weekend.

Apple TV+: TV shows

Ted Lasso

This comedy series recently took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series for the second consecutive year — making it the eighth series ever to do so. The second season of “Ted Lasso” also became this year's most Emmy-winning comedy for the second year in a row, landing four total awards, including Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Jason Sudeikis), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Brett Goldstein), and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series (MJ Delaney).

Ted Lasso is worth considering if you are looking for healthy comedy.

Bad Sisters

The newest comedy from creator and star Sharon Horgan, ‘Bad Sisters’ is a delicious blend of both dark comedy and thriller set on the breathtaking coast of Ireland.

The TV show follows the lives of the Garvey sisters, who are bound together by the premature death of their parents and a promise always to protect one another. It stars Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, and Eve Hewson as the Garvey sisters. The ensemble cast also includes Claes Bang, Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab, newcomer Saise Quinn and Michael Smiley.

See - season 3

‘See’ is set in a brutal and primitive future, hundreds of years after humankind has lost the ability to see. In season three, almost a year has passed since Baba Voss (Jason Momoa) defeated his nemesis brother Edo and bid farewell to his family to live remotely in the forest. But when a Trivantian scientist develops a new and devastating form of sighted weaponry that threatens the future of humanity, Baba returns to Paya to protect his tribe once more.

The series features cast and crew who are blind or have low vision and has been honored for its representation of the visually impaired, winning the Ruderman Family Foundation Seal of Authentic Representation in 2020. ‘See’ was also recognized with an NAACP Image Awards nomination for star Alfre Woodard in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category.

Wolfboy and the Everything Factory

The second season of the animated epic series for kids and families, ‘Wolfboy and the Everything Factory,’ takes Wolfboy, voiced by Kassian Akhtar, to a new realm underneath the Everything Factory where Nyx attempts to lure him to the dark side. With his Spryte friends and new allies, Wolfboy engages in a quest to unite the forces of creation and destruction and realizes that being different is what makes him special - and ultimately, it’s the oddballs and dreamers who change the world

Lost in Space

Lost in Space is an American science fiction TV series following the adventures of a family of space colonists whose ship goes off course. The series is a reboot of the 1965 series of the same name, inspired by the 1812 novel The Swiss Family Robinson.

Peacemaker

This is a comedy action TV series that follows Peacemaker, a man who fights for peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.

If you want to enjoy Diwali night with your friends and loved ones, then Four More Shots Please is worth considering as it is back with a new season.
