Ahead of the launch of the device, a leak has revealed that the Pixel 8a will be priced higher than its predecessor, the Google Pixel 7a. According to a report by PassionateGeekz, a Canadian retailer has revealed the prices of the upcoming Pixel 8a ahead of the launch.
According to the report, the Pixel 8a will be launched in two variants – a 128GB variant and a 256GB variant. The 128GB variant is expected to be priced at CAD 708.99 (approx. ₹43,050) and the 256GB variant is expected to be priced at CAD 792.99 (approx. ₹48,150.
The Indian pricing is expected to be ₹1,000 – 2,000 more than the Pixel 7a. The Pixel 7a 128GB variant was launched with a price tag of ₹43,999.
The Google Pixel 8a is expected to feature an identical design to its predecessor and is expected to come with a metal frame. The device is expected to come with seven years of Android updates, just like the Pixel 8 series.
The Pixel 8a is expected to feature a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be powered by the company’s Tensor G3 chipset and offer 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Pixel 8a is expected to feature a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 64MP primary camera and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera. It is expected to feature a 13MP selfie camera on the front.
The Pixel 8a is expected to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 20W wired charging support and 7.5W wireless charging support.
