OnePlus has announced theOnePlus 12 flagship smartphone in China.- The device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and comes with up to 24GB RAM.
- The smartphone is expected to launch in India on January 23, 2024.
The OnePlus 12 is the successor of the OnePlus 11 that was launched in India on February 7, 2023. It comes with several improvements over its predecessor, including the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, bigger battery, improved cameras and more.
The OnePlus 12 has been priced starting at CNY 4,299 (approx. ₹50,620) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and goes up to CNY 5,799 (approx. ₹68,440) for the 24GB RAM + 1TB internal storage variant. While the device has been launched in four variants in China, India may not see all the variants.
The OnePlus 12 has been launched in Rock Black, Pale Green and White colour options.
The OnePlus 12 runs on Android 14 out of the box with OxygenOS 14 on top. The device features a 6.82-inch Quad HD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The display comes with a peak brightness of 4500 nits, a new high for smartphones. It also offers 2160Hz high-frequency PWM Dimming.
The OnePlus 12 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and comes in four variants – 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage, 16GB RAM + 512GB internal storage, 16GB RAM + 1TB of internal storage and 24GB RAM + 1TB internal storage.
The OnePlus 12 features a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP primary camera with Sony LYT-808 sensor, OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera with the Sony IMX581 sensor and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with Omnivision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom and up to 120x digital zoom.
On the front, the device sports a 32MP selfie camera with Sony IMX615 sensor, offering 4K 30fps video recording.
The OnePlus 12 is powered by a 5,400mAh battery, coupled with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging support and 50W wireless charging support. It is IP56 rated for water and dust resistance and comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
