Korean smartphone maker Samsung has launched two new mid-range smartphones in its Galaxy A series, dubbed as the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55. The smartphones are the successors of the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 smartphones that were launched in 2023.

The Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A5 smartphones are powered by the company’s in-house Exynos chipsets and come with four years of promised Android updates.

The Samsung Galaxy A35 is priced at ₹30,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant and ₹33,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant. It comes in Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lilac and Awesome Navy colour options.

The Galaxy A55 is priced at ₹39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant, ₹42,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant and ₹45,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant. It comes in Awesome Iceblue and Awesome Navy colour options.

Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 specifications



The Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 run on Android 14 out of the box with the company’s One UI 6.1 on top. The devices are promised to get four years of Android updates and five years of security updates.

The new Galaxy A series smartphones feature a 6.6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy A55 comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, while the Galaxy A35 misses out on display protection.

While the Galaxy A35 is powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset, the Galaxy A55 is equipped with the Exynos 1480 chipset. The Galaxy A35 comes in two variants – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, while the Galaxy A55 gets an additional third variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The Galaxy A35 comes with a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP macro sensor. On the front, the device sports a 13MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy A55 on the other hand features a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP macro sensor. It sports a 32MP selfie camera for video calling.

The Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 are both powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support. It is to be noted that the smartphones do not come with the charging brick in the box. Both the devices are IP67 rated for water and dust resistance.
