Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S24 series at its Galaxy Unpacked event on January 17.- The Galaxy S24 series is expected to include the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
- Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming flagship Galaxy S24 series.
Like the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung is expected to offer three smartphones in the Galaxy S24 series – the vanilla Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24 Plus and the top-end Galaxy S24 Ultra.
While Samsung has not confirmed the launch date of the Galaxy S24 series, the company is expected to unveil the devices on January 17 at an event in San Jose, California. The Indian launch will also take place at the same time.
While the Galaxy S23 series was launched in February in 2023, the Korean smartphone maker is reportedly launching the Galaxy S24 series a couple of days earlier to take on the iPhone 15 series.
Samsung is expected to keep the design changes to a minimum when it comes to the Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to feature a similar design as the Galaxy S23 series.
The Galaxy S24 Plus is expected to feature a slightly larger display when compared to the Galaxy S23 Plus.
Coming to the display, the Galaxy S24 is expected to feature a 6.1-inch display, the Galaxy S24 Plus a 6.7-inch display and the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature a large 6.8-inch display.
One change that is expected is that the Galaxy S24 Ultra might feature a titanium body, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro models.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy S23 series with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipsets globally. However, the company is reportedly planning on going back to its Exynos chipsets for select markets, including India for the Galaxy S24 series.
There have been reports that this will be limited to the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24 Plus as the Galaxy S24 Ultra will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset worldwide.
Samsung will reportedly make 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage a standard for the base variant for all three smartphones.
Coming to the camera section, the Galaxy S24 series is expected to feature a similar camera setup as the Galaxy S23 series, while offering improved sensors. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature a 50MP telephoto lens instead of the existing 10MP.
