Xiaomi is all set to announce its latest flagship device, the Xiaomi 12 Pro in India. The company had launched the device in China in December last year and is finally set to make its debut in the country this month.

Xiaomi’s Global vice president, Manu Kumar Jain had earlier hinted that the Xiaomi 12 Pro is coming to India. The teaser shared by him had hinted that the device would be launched on April 12 at 12 noon. But looking at the timing of the post, it can be an April fools joke as well. In any case, the device will be making it to the Indian market soon.

Xiaomi had also launched the vanilla Xiaomi 12 along with the Xiaomi 12 Pro in China. At the moment, it’s not clear whether both devices will be launched in India.

Ahead of the launch, Amazon has revealed a microsite on its platform, confirming that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be sold on Amazon.

Xiaomi 12 Pro expected price

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is priced starting at CNY 4,699 (₹55,830 approx.). We expect the device to be priced similarly in India. It will directly compete with the recently launched OnePlus 10 Pro flagship smartphone.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is expected to be available in Black, Blue and Purple colour options from Amazon India, Mi online store and Xiaomi authorized retailers across the country.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is expected to launch in India on April 12. The event is expected to be livestreamed on YouTube and the company’s website.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro runs on Android 12 with the company’s MIUI 13 skin on top. It features a 6.73-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The display comes with HDR10+ support and offers Dolby Vision technology.


The Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. At the moment, we do not know the storage variants that will be launched by the company, but we expect to see at least two variants.

Coming to the camera department, the Xiaomi 12 Pro features a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP portrait camera. The device will offer OIS and 8K video recording.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by a 4,600mAh battery with 120W fast charge support and 50W wireless charging support. The device comes with the company’s Surge P1 charging IC and can be fully charged from 0 to 100% in just 18 minutes. The 50W wireless charging can fully charge the device in 42 minutes.

The device comes with 5G SA / NSA support and offers Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, India’s NavIC and a USB Type-C port. It is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
