Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to introduce its latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, on April 18. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is a camera-centric device and is expected to come with an accessory to improve the photography experience.

Xiaomi has been experimenting with a camera-centric device for some time now, like the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and the$4 with 1-inch sensors, which were developed in partnership with$4. In addition to this, the company had also showcased the$4, a concept smartphone with support for lens attachment.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra launch date
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is scheduled to launch globally on April 18. At the moment, it is still being determined if the device will also be launched in India at the same time.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra camera
The main highlight of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be its camera. The device is expected to feature a quad camera setup at the back, including a 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 primary sensor with phase detect autofocus support and variable aperture.


In addition to this, the device is expected to feature a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.2X zoom, and a 50MP periscope lens with 5x zoom. Xiaomi will continue its partnership with Leica and offer Leica optics on the device.

The smartphone maker is expected to offer the device with a camera grip accessory, making it easier to capture images. The grip is expected to feature a dedicated shutter button, allowing users to attach it to the device and capture images quickly.

On the front, the device is expected to feature a 32MP selfie camera.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra to last for 60 minutes with 1% battery
Xiaomi, in a teaser has revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be equipped with the Surge P2 and Surge G1 chips. The device will reportedly last for up to 60 minutes or a 12-minutes phone call, even with just 1% of battery.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra expected specifications
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ E6 LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR support.


The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of internal storage. It is expected to offer 90W charging support.
