The service has been started by the Uttar Pradesh government with the view of equipping Ayodhya with a zero-carbon emission E-vehicle transport facility. Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has started working on a detailed action plan in this direction. In its first phase, 15 EV Plus four-wheeler e-vehicles with a seating capacity of four passengers have been started in Ayodhya. As part of this process, preference is being given to EV cars manufactured in India under the 'Make in India' initiative. Moreover, an e-cart service, has been operational in Ayodhya since the Deepotsav program last year. This service has a seating capacity for 6 passengers and mainly helps elderly devotees travel to <keyword id="20045135" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="hanumangarhi" source="keywords">Hanumangarhi</keyword> and <keyword id="19984920" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="shri-ram" source="keywords">Shri Ram</keyword> Janmabhoomi temple complex and other pilgrimage sites, the press release said. According to the government's press release, the operation of e-vehicle transport service has also started between Lucknow and Ayodhya. "This service is currently being operated by ADA through a private partnership," it read. To enhance the beauty of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) program in Ayodhya, a large-scale VVIP movement including that of artists and tourists is proposed in Ayodhya between <keyword id="19986229" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="makar-sankranti" source="keywords">Makar Sankranti</keyword> (January 15) to January 22." In view of this, the process of implementing the plan to deploy a fleet of 200 e-vehicles, giving preference to zero carbon emission transportation, has been started," the press release said. In this sequence, Passion International Private Limited is providing cab service with the name of 'My EV Plus' under the EV transportation process through a private partnership by ADA. Prashant Garg, the director of the company, mentioned that the service will be available for pilgrims arriving at Ayodhya airport from January 6. Garg further mentioned that this is a pick-and-drop facility-based service that focuses on making journeys smooth and safe through Google Location and Google Maps access. This service has also been started to and fro between Lucknow and Ayodhya and passengers will have to pay a fee of Rs 3000 for a one-way journey. "Similarly, in Ayodhya, passengers will have to pay Rs 250 for a journey of 0 to 10 km, Rs 399 for a journey of 0 to 15 km, Rs 499 for a journey of 0 to 20 km, Rs 799 for a journey of 20 to 30 km and Rs 999 for a journey of 30 to 40 km," the press release said. While talking to mediapersons at an event in Ayodhya, Arun, who played the character of Lord Ram shared his thoughts regarding the Pran Pratistha Mahotsav of Lord Ram. Arun Govil said, "Ayodhya's Ram temple will prove to be our '<keyword id="20219637" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="rashtra-mandir" source="keywords">Rashtra Mandir</keyword>.' The culture that had faded in the last few years across the world, this temple will again send a message that will strengthen our culture. It is a heritage that will be known to the whole world, this temple will be a source of inspiration, it is the centre of our faith, it will be our pride, it will become our identity. Our morals should be adopted by all." He added, "I had no idea that the consecration of Lord Ram would happen in this way, that it would be such a big event, this is the biggest event of my life. There is so much emotion and energy, the whole country is taking only Ram's name, wherever Lord Ram is present. Those who believe in Ram, there is an atmosphere of happiness there, it was not imagined, hence the feeling of it is very pleasant that we are going to witness such a moment." Sunil Lahiri, who played the role of Laxman, said, "I am very fortunate to be attending the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav, I am getting a chance to know what I did not know, the atmosphere created in the country is very religious and is very positive and it will give a very positive feeling to the world" Sunil Lahiri added, "Those who have been denying Ram, they do not know what Ram is unless someone reads Ramayana. God is Maryada Purushottam, Ramayana also teaches us that we should live with dignity, this teaching is not known to those who deny Ram." Deepika Chikhalia, who played the role of Goddess Sita, said, "Our image has settled in the hearts of the people, even after the construction of Ram temple, I do not think there will be any change in it, Ram Lala's life is being consecrated, people have given a lot of love. The characters of Ramayana will continue to receive similar love." Security barricades, barbed wires and frequent frisking by police personnel have been a common sight in <keyword id="6354931" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="ayodhya" source="Orion">Ayodhya</keyword>. But the holy city has now undergone a paradigm shift fuelled by massive infrastructure growth with the grand Ram temple at its heart. It was the 2019 Supreme Court verdict on the fractious Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid issue that paved the way for the progress of this pilgrim city which till a few years ago was a sleepy town in Uttar Pradesh. On Monday, a new chapter will be written in Ayodhya's and the country's history with the consecration ceremony at the newly-built Ram temple which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and over 7,000 guests. This 'Pran Pratishtha' has been preceded by a series of infrastructural projects to turn the temple town into what the government calls a 'Bhavya, Divya and Navya Ayodhya'. With a swanky new airport, a redeveloped railway station, two widened roads -- Ram Path and Dharm Path -- which are now showpiece streets, multi-level car parking facilities, e-buses, a dedicated multilingual tourist app, and new luxury hotels on the horizon, Ayodhya has changed and so has its image. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi', this infrastructure push has also embraced the heritage of the ancient city, where Hindus believe Lord Ram was born. The airport and the railway station, both equipped with modern facilities, bear a cladding of sandstone with the design drawn from the architectural elements of the newly built Ram temple which uses sandstones sourced from Rajasthan. "Ayodhya is undergoing a 'nav nirman' (new construction) and infrastructure is changing... We have to give a new identity to Ayodhya at the global level," Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister <keyword id="19898780" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="yogi-adityanath" source="keywords">Yogi Adityanath</keyword> said recently after flagging off a fleet of e-buses for the city. The state government's infrastructure expansion is driven and centred around this grand temple whose 'bhoomipujan' was performed by Modi in August 2020. Built in the traditional Nagara style, it will be 380 feet long (east-west direction), 250 feet wide and 161 feet high. Each floor of the three-storey temple will be 20 ft high and have a total of 392 pillars and 44 gates. To facilitate devotees to reach this temple, the government has redeveloped four roads, including the 13-km Ram Path from Sahadatganj to Naya Ghat Chouraha -- for which partial demolition of a large number of shops, houses and other buildings had to be carried out. The widened Ram Path with uniform facades of buildings on both sides, ornamental lamp posts bearing a design representing the traditional 'Ramanadi tilak' and the 40 Surya Stambhs installed along Dharm Path and the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk are new tourist attractions in the city. Anoop Kumar, who runs Hotel Shri Ram Bhawan near Asharfi Bhawan here, says people earlier visited Ayodhya, but "very few stayed for a day, let alone a longer duration". "Earlier, people visited Ramjanmabhoomi, Hanumangarhi temple, Kanak Bhawan, Asharfi Bhawan and left the same day. Now, visitors want to stay for a day or even longer to explore other places like Ram ki Paidi, Surya Kund and other temples," he told PTI. Kumar who built this property in February 2023, said a large number of new budget hotels, lodges and homestays have sprung up in the city after the 2019 apex court verdict. "The Mandir-Masjid dispute had halted the city's growth. But the construction of the temple has driven the infrastructure push which in turn has fuelled Ayodhya's growth story," he said. Prabharaj Palace, a new lodge that was opened a couple of months ago in the Begumpura area, has mounted a banner-size poster of the Ram temple in its lobby. "The excitement that preceded the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony had pushed our business, and it is expected to grow for the next several months," Deepak, a managerial staff at the lodge told PTI. The excitement will reach a crescendo on Monday when all eyes of the country will be on Ayodhya.
