Healthcare Map of India: 6 cities that are plagued with chronic ailments

Chronic ailments such as respiratory problems, cardiovascular diseases, spine and gastric conditions are on the rise in India.

As per Practo’s 2016 Healthcare Map, patients are increasingly complaining about these chronic ailments, including diabetes, and there is 62% rise in pulmonologist appointments, 40% rise in cardiologist appointments, 25% uptick in diabetologist appointments, 22% jump in gastroenterologist appointments and 25% rise in spine specialist appointments, 31% growth in spine surgeon appointments.

The report is a comprehensive look at the disease and illness trends across India and based on health care appointments booked on Practo across 35 cities with focus on top seven cities including Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad across 200+ medical specialties.
