The total number of confirmed cases also include 77 foreign nationals, affected with the disease.

A child with heart problem tests corona positive in Chandigarh
A six-month girl with congestive heart failure was diagnosed with coronavirus in the PGI Hospital, doctors said on Thursday (April 23).
The baby, weighing three kg, was diagnosed as a case of acyanotic congenital heart disease with congestive heart failure. She was earlier hospitalised in a corporate hospital in Ludhiana for 36 days and was subsequently referred to the PGI for corrective surgery, the PGI said in a statement.
"She was admitted to the Advanced Pediatrics Centre on April 9 and was critically ill. She was stabilised and required continuous ventilatory support and antimicrobials. She showed gradual improvement in her general condition," the statement said.
According to the PGI, after a detailed assessment by the cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons, she was due to be taken up for open-heart surgery in the Advanced Cardiac Centre.
However, a preoperative test for COVID-19 returned positive on April 21.
Rajasthan reports one death and 155 fresh Coronavirus cases
One more person died of coronavirus in Rajasthan on Wednesday (April 22), pushing the death toll to 27 in the state, where infection count soared to 1,890 with 155 fresh cases.
"The death of a COVID-19 patient has occurred in Bharatpur district. A total of 153 fresh cases have been reported in nine districts of the state, including 68 in Jaipur and 44 in Ajmer," Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rohit Kumar Singh said.
He said test results for a backlog of 4,000 samples sent to a private lab in Delhi have started coming in and these are being captured in the report. Hence, the number of cases is expected to rise.
Singh said of the 153 fresh cases reported on Wednesday(April 22), 68 were from Jaipur, 44 from Ajmer, 17 from Tonk, 11 from Jodhpur, six from Kota, four from Nagaur and one each from Bharatpur, Dausa and Swai Madhopur.
Mizoram has over 7,800 rapid test kits
Mizoram Health and Family Welfare board vice-chairman Dr ZR Thiamsanga on Wednesday (April 22) said that the state at present has over 7,800 rapid or antibody test kits for COVID-19.
The Chinese made consignment was received from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) recently, he said.
He told PTI that the state government has placed orders for 10,000 more Singapore made rapid test kits, which will arrive soon.
He said the testing ratio is likely to go up once rapid test kits are used.
However, testing will be done based on the guidelines issued by the Centre and state government, he said.
Assam police arrest over 2050 people for violating lockdown norms
The Assam Police on Wednesday (April 22) said it has arrested more than 2,050 people across the state in the last 29 days for defying the lockdown order imposed to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
Nearly ₹1 crore has been collected from them as fine, police said.
In its daily report on the lockdown, the Assam Police mentioned that 1,156 cases have been registered in connection with 2,007 incidents since the beginning of the lockdown. Accordingly, 2,059 people have been arrested, it said.
New Delhi recorded 92 new cases total rises to 2,248
With 92 more people testing corona-positive and one more dying of COVID-19 in the national capital on Wednesday (April 22), the total number of infected cases till date rose to 92 and the death toll to 48, said Delhi government authorities.
No COVID-19 fatality was recorded on Tuesday (April 21). Of the total 48 fatalities reported till date, 25 of the deceased were aged 60 or above, accounting for over 52 per cent of the total deaths, they said.
Thirteen of them were aged between 50-59 and 10 were aged below 50 years, officials said.
By Tuesday (April 21) night, the number of cases of infection with the deadly virus in the city stood at 2,156, including 47 deaths. With one more death, the death toll from COVID-19 in Delhi has risen to 48.
Teen tests COVID positive in Noida, tally now 103; 48 recover
A teenager tested positive for coronavirus here on Wednesday(April 22), taking the tally in Gautam Budh Nagar district in western Uttar Pradesh to 103, officials said.
Also, four patients were discharged after they recovered from the disease, taking the total number of cured people to 48 in Gautam Budh Nagar so far, the Health Department here said.
"Total 126 reports have been received in the last 24 hours, and a sample of one person has resulted in positive for COVID-19. The cumulative positive cases of coronavirus in Gautam Buddh Nagar is now 103," District Surveillance Officer Sunil Dohare said.
The new patient is a 15-year-old girl who belongs to Kasganj district of UP, but has been included as a Gautam Buddh Nagar case because her sample was taken here, the officer said.
So far, 44 of the 103 patients have been cured and discharged, leaving 59 active patients in Gautam Buddh Nagar," the officer said.
Bhubaneswar withdraws containment zone tag from 3 places
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday (April 22) withdrew the containment zone tag from all the three places in the state capital, a notification issued by the urban local body said.
The restrictions have been withdrawn from Bomikhal, Satya Nagar and Surya Nagar areas of the city. Still, surveillance will continue in those areas for the next seven days as a precautionary measure.
While Bomikhal had reported 18 COVID-19 positive cases, eight persons got infected with the coronavirus from Surya Nagar and four from Satya Nagar.
The BMC's move came after no COVID-19 case was reported from the city since April 14. Out of the 46 cases in the state capital, 21 patients have recovered so far, while a 72-year-old man died. There are 24 active cases in the state capital at present.
73 cops quarantined after five Moradabad violence accused test positive
As many as 73 police personnel who came in contact with those arrested in connection with the Nawabpura stone-pelting incident here last week were quarantined on Wednesday (April 22) after five of the accused tested positive for coronavirus, a police official said.
The five accused are among the 17 who were arrested after a mob attacked a team of health workers in Nawabpura area here on April 15 to prevent it from taking a coronavirus-infected man to an isolation facility.
Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Pathak said samples of all 73 police personnel, who have been quarantined at different centres here, have been sent for testing.
"We have enough staff at Nagphani police station to tackle the situation," he said.
