The Directive will encompass a variety of measures that will reinforce transparency and accountability in the recruitment process of large companies in the EU. Under this, at least 40% of non-executive director posts, or 33% of all director posts, must be occupied by women by the end of June 2026.

OPINION: Is climate finance a pipedream or a reality?

Low-income and developing countries bear the brunt of climate change even though they are the least responsible for it. Therefore, in 2009, industrialised countries pledged $100billion a year by 2020 to Least Developed Countries and developing countries. However, with a majority of the funding directed to LDCs, countries like India need to generate their own funding to meet climate goals.
