Reliance Retail on Monday announced the launch of JioBook, the company’s latest affordable laptop in the country. The JioBook marks the company’s entry into the educational laptops segment.

The JioBook is a 4G-enabled laptop that also supports dual-band Wi-Fi. It is aimed at students looking for an affordable laptop for their educational needs.

“The all-new JioBook is our latest offering catering to learners of all ages with its advanced features and seamless connectivity options. We believe JioBook will revolutionise the way people learn, opening new opportunities for personal growth and skill development," said a Reliance Retail spokesperson.
JioBook price and availability
The JioBook has been priced at ₹16,499 and will be available from Amazon India, Jio Online Store and Reliance Digital stores across the country from August 5 in a lone JioBlue colour option.

The laptop comes with 100GB cloud storage on DigiBoxx, a carry case and one-year Quickheal subscription.
JioBook specifications
The JioBook runs on JioOS, the company’s customised software and features a 11.6-inch HD+ anti-glare LED backlight display.

The JioBook is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT 8788 processor coupled with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage. It supports microSD expansion up to 256GB. It comes with a 2MP camera for video calling.

In terms of connectivity, the JioBook offers 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, a mini-HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

It is equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, which the company claims can offer up to 8 hours of battery life.

The company has offered a 1-year warranty on the laptop and a 6-month warranty for the charger.
