How to block Jio SIM and resume Jio SIM services

If you have lost your phone, one of the first things that you need to do is block your SIM card so that it cannot be misused. If you are a Reliance Jio user, there are multiple ways to block your SIM card.

Reliance Jio allows you to block your SIM card by contacting the customer care, going to the store or using its website. If you want to block your Jio SIM, follow the below steps.

How to block Jio SIM

Visit Reliance Digital

You can get your Jio SIM blocked by visiting Reliance Digital. You need to carry an ID proof with you to get the SIM blocked.

Customer care

You can call Reliance Jio’s customer care from any number and connect with JioCare service to get your Jio SIM blocked.

• Call Jio’s customer care number 199 and follow the instructions to block your Jio SIM card.
  
• You will have to share some information such as your full name, date of birth and father’s name to get your SIM blocked.
  

Jio website

You can also block your Jio SIM card from the company’s website.

• Login with your credentials on the Jio website.
  
• Now, at the top right corner, click on your name and then click on ‘My Account’.

Now, click on the gear icon (settings).


Now, click on ‘Suspend and resume’.


Now, click on the ‘Arrow’ button and select the reason why you want to block your SIM card.


Now, click on ‘Suspend’.


Your Jio SIM will be blocked within 15 minutes.

How to unblock your Jio SIM

You can unblock your Jio SIM without having to get a new SIM.

Customer care

You can call Jio’s customer care at 199 to unblock your Jio SIM. You will be asked to provide some information such as your name, date of birth and father’s name to unblock your card.

• Login with your credentials on the Jio website.
  
• Now, at the top right corner, click on your name and then click on ‘My Account’.
  

• Now, click on the gear icon and click on ‘Suspend and resume’.
  
• Now, click on ‘Resume’.
