Popular social media platform Instagram has announced a new feature that allows users to add music to their Instagram profile, allowing you to customise your profile and add a personal touch.

What this does is add a button to your Instagram profile, allowing visitors to click on it and listen to your selected song. You can choose up to 30 seconds of the selected song.

How to add music to your Instagram profile

Here’s how you can easily add music to your Instagram profile.

• Open the Instagram app on your device.
• Click on the Profile icon in the bottom right corner.
• Now, click on “Edit profile”, then tap “Add music to your profile”.
• Now, click on “Pick a song for your profile”.
• Search for your favourite song or browse the “For You” section to select a song.
• Select the song you’d like to use and choose the clip duration for your Profile.

Your chosen song will be displayed on your profile until you decide to change it or remove it. When the play button is tapped, a 30-second clip of the song will play. This feature is available to all consumer and Creator accounts.
