The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to be launched at the same price as their predecessors. However, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will reportedly get a price increase this year.

While the iPhone 15 series sold in India will come from the three plants from the company’s manufacturers in India, this is not expected to result in a price reduction.

Design – dynamic island to become standard

A major design change is expected to be made to the standard iPhone 15 models as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to be launched with the dynamic island, a feature that was reserved for the Pro models last year.

The iPhone 15 is expected to be launched with a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Plus gets a 6.7-inch screen. Similarly, the iPhone 15 Pro will feature a 6.1-inch screen while the iPhone 15 Pro Max gets a larger 6.7-inch screen. The refresh rate is expected to be limited to 60Hz for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus while the Pro models offer a 120Hz display.

While the displays will be the same, the iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to come with thinner bezels and feature a titanium frame.

Apart from this, one change that will be made on all iPhone 15 models is the addition of a USB Type-C port.

Processor

Another significant difference between the Pro and the standard models will be the processor. While the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will feature the Apple A16 Bionic chipset, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will feature the new A17 Bionic chipset.

The A17 Bionic chipset is being built on the 3nm process and is expected to offer a significant performance and efficiency boost.

Camera

One of the most important things that will be different is the camera.

While the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will get an upgrade to a 48MP primary camera + 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, the iPhone 15 Pro will feature an additional 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom support.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max on the other hand is expected to get the biggest upgrade in the camera department. It is expected to feature a periscope telephoto lens – a first for an iPhone. This is expected to enable the device to offer 6x optical zoom.
