Nothing phone (1) video reveals four notification lights at the back

After revealing the much-awaited Nothing phone (1)’s rear design, the Carl Pei-led Nothing Technologies has gone a step ahead and showcased the device at a surprise event in Switzerland.

The Nothing phone (1) is scheduled to launch in India and globally on July 12. Ahead of the launch, the company reportedly held a secret event for journalists in Switzerland, showcasing the device and giving us a sneak peek of the design.

A YouTuber Rafael Zeier has shared a video from the event, giving us our first look at the device and its notification lights in all its glory.

In the video, we can see the transparent design of the device with minimal branding and a unique design. The video also confirms that the device will feature a dual camera setup at the back and offer wireless charging.

The Nothing phone (1) comes with four notification lights

Yes, you read that right, the Nothing phone (1) comes with a total of four notification lights. The lights will alert you about incoming calls, messages and other notifications.


The first notification light is around the rear camera module and the second one is on the right side of the camera module.


The third notification light is on the bottom, below the wireless charging coil, in the form of a straight line. The fourth notification light is just below the third and is a small circle. Interestingly, the third and fourth notification lights form an exclamation mark.


We expect the notification lights to be customizable.

Nothing phone (1) launch and availability

The Nothing phone (1) is scheduled to launch on July 12 at 8:30 pm. The device is expected to be available exclusively from Flipkart in India soon after it is announced.
