The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is the successor of the Galaxy S23 series that was launched in 2023 and comes with several improvements over its predecessor. The devices, currently available for pre-booking, are priced starting at ₹79,999 and go all the way up to ₹1,59,999. The Galaxy S24 series offers seven years of Android updates and seven years of security updates, just like the Google Pixel 8 series.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is priced starting at ₹79,999 while the Galaxy S24 Plus is priced starting at ₹99,999. The top-end Galaxy S24 Ultra is priced starting at ₹1,29,999.
The vanilla Galaxy S24 is available in Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet and Onyx Black colour options. The Galaxy S24 Plus comes in two colour options – Cobalt Violet and Onyx Black.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is available in Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet and Titanium Black colour options.

The Galaxy S24 series introduces AI X Connect, offering features like Circle to Search, allowing users to effortlessly locate subjects across apps with a simple circular gesture. This smart functionality enhances the overall user experience by making it easier for users to search.
The Galaxy S24 series also offers AI Live Translate, enabling real-time translation of calls directly within the phone app. This feature caters to a global audience, making it easier for people speaking different languages to communicate.
The inclusion of Chat Assist facilitates font alignment and creates space, providing a polished and organised look to your text. Moreover, the revamped note-taking capabilities allow users to organise notes efficiently and even design custom covers.
The company’s Galaxy AI gives a big boost to recording, offering much more than the traditional features. It facilitates transcription, translation, and summarization of content, offering a comprehensive solution for managing audio data.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is the most premium offering in the company’s S-series lineup and is packed with the best hardware.
Like Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro models, the Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a titanium frame for the first time. With the use of titanium, the Galaxy S24 Ultra offers a thinner body at 8.6mm.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra features a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Armor protection. It offers a peak brightness of 2,700 nits.
It is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, designed for the Galaxy S25 series and clocked higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It comes with 12GB RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
Coming to the optics, the device features a quad camera setup at the back consisting of a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP periscope lens. It offers 5x zoom and 100x digital zoom. On the front, the device features a 12MP selfie camera.
The primary camera sensor on the Galaxy S24 Ultra is 60% larger, promising exceptional image quality. It also comes with AI zoom capabilities and offers nightography 5X zoom, and AI-generated additional frames in slow motion elevate the photography and videography experience.
It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that offers 45W fast charging, the same as the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The Galaxy S24, the most affordable device among the three, comes with a comparatively compact design, featuring a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. The Galaxy S24 Plus, on the other hand, sits in the middle and features a larger 6.7-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. Both devices offer a 1-120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Unlike the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy S24 series is not completely equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The vanilla Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus are equipped with the company’s Exynos 2400 chipset. While the Galaxy S24 is available in 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB storage options, the Galaxy S24 Plus comes in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage options.
The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus feature the same triple camera setup at the back – a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 10MP telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom. Both devices offer a 12MP selfie camera on the front, just like the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The Galaxy S24 is still behind its peers in the battery department, featuring a 4,000mAh battery with 25W charging support. The Galaxy S24 Plus has a larger 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging support. Both the devices support wireless charging.
