Reliance Jio has followed its competitors Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) to hike the prices of its prepaid plans. The latest plans of Reliance Jio were announced yesterday, November 28th, and will come into effect from December 1st onwards.

In this article, we compare the plans offered by the three telecom operators. If you are a prepaid plan user, it will help you decide which company is offering the best plans so you can continue using your current network or port to a new network.

Jio prepaid plans

Let’s first take a look at all the Reliance Jio prepaid plans.

While the plans offer the same benefits in terms of data, calls and SMS. the price of the plans has been hiked. The basic plan that started at ₹75 is increased to ₹91 offering 3GB data, 50 SMS and unlimited calling for 28 days on JioPhone.

The premium plan for 365 days has been increased to ₹2,879 from ₹2,399 offering the same benefits of 2GG data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS/day.

Airtel prepaid plans

Now, we take a look at hiked Airtel prepaid plans.

The basic plan of Airtel starts at ₹99 offering ₹99 talktime and 200MB data, valid for 28 days. The most premium plan is now priced at ₹2999 offering you 2GB data/day, unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day, valid for 365 days.

Vodafone Idea prepaid plans

Here is a look at all the prepaid plans available for Vodafone Idea prepaid users.

Like Airtel, the basic plan of Vi is available at ₹99, offering ₹99 talktime and 200MB data. The most premium plan offers 1.5GB/day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS/day for 365 days.

The best plans

Although all three service providers have hiked the prices of their prepaid plans, Reliance Jio still offers the most economical plans out of the three. The Airtel and Vi plans are almost identical. So if you are on any of these networks, you don’t need to port your SIM to the others. However, you can always port to Reliance Jio to benefit from the best plans.
