An OnlyFans model said she gets so much online hate for not having a 'real job' that she shouldn't pay tax

• She said people are contradicting themselves saying her job isn't legitimate while asking her to pay taxes.

Billie Beever, an OnlyFans model based in Australia, said she "shouldn't have to pay tax" if people weren't willing to treat her job with respect.

The 30-year-old, who was crowned Best Female Porn Star at the Australian Adult Industry Choice Awards, expressed her frustration at having to justify her job to online haters in an interview with the Australian news site news.com.au.

"I'm constantly being told what I do isn't a real job and [that] I 'need to get a real job', so if that's what the general public think, then why should us OnlyFans creators and sex workers be paying ten times more tax than they all are with their regular jobs?" she told the outlet.

She said people didn't realize how much work goes into her job, and she questioned people who said it wasn't legitimate while telling her to pay taxes.

"It's like, hold on a minute, didn't you say I don't have a real job? The public are now contradicting themselves," she said.

The outlet reported that the topic of taxation for sex workers has been a source of conversation in Australia in recent years — Beever's comments followed a discussion posted on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) community board in 2021, in which a user questioned which tax deductions OnlyFans creators are allowed to make.

They also followed a more recent viral TikTok video posted by OnlyFans creator Tasha Paige in October, in which she complained about her having to pay $150,000 in taxes to the Australian government, which "doesn't even recognize sex work as real work."

Beever doubled down on her comments in the caption of a TikTok video posted on November 22.

"I said what i said & i mean it! If i dont have a "real job" why am i paying "real tax" then?!?!" she wrote in the description.

Viewers largely supported Beever. "Get the cash, forget the tax," one person wrote. Another wrote, "Slay queen!"

This isn't the first time Beever has made headlines as a result of talking about the backlash she's received. In 2020, she told Daily Mail Australia she received abuse from online trolls after saying she was struggling during the economic downturn and couldn't pay her rent.

"I receive hate on a daily basis that I'm just a slut, a whore, that I should be disgusted in myself," she told the outlet. "I love my job, I choose my hours, I provide for my daughter, I allow what people can and cannot see, I am in control of my body."
