  • Fox News host Neil Cavuto delivered a four-minute monologue on President Donald Trump's pattern of false statements.
  • "Mr. President, that's your swamp," he said during his show Thursday.
  • Cavuto's criticism of Trump comes amid reports that Trump reimbursed personal attorney Michael Cohen for paying porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 to keep quiet about an alleged affair with the president.

Fox News host Neil Cavuto delivered an impassioned monologue Thursday on President Donald Trump's pattern of false statements.

Cavuto's criticism of Trump came in response to Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani saying that Trump reimbursed personal attorney Michael Cohen for paying porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 to keep quiet about an affair she says she had with the president. Giuliani's revelation came weeks after Trump denied knowledge of the payment.

"Let me be clear, Mr. President," Cavuto said on his show. "How can you drain the swamp if you're the one that keeps muddying the waters? You didn't know about the $130,000 payment to a porn star until you did. That's your stink, Mr. President. That's your swamp."

Part of Cavuto's commentary included a list of claims Trump has made that have later been proven false or inaccurate in the first place.

On Thursday, Trump took to Twitter to defend himself.

"The agreement was used to stop the false and extortionist accusations made by her about an affair......despite already having signed a detailed letter admitting that there was no affair," he said.
