Supreme Court might ban Diesel cars in Delhi!

In another surprising revelation, the Supreme Court might ban diesel cars in Delhi to tackle air pollution.

A bench led by Chief Justice T S Thakur will decide next Tuesday whether there should be a complete ban or whether the number should only be restricted. It’s very likely that trucks would be forbidden to pass through the nation’s capital.

Referring to the even-odd formula imposed by the Delhi government, the bench said there can't be a one-stop solution. "This is very serious issue and we are earning a bad name in world for Delhi being most polluted city," the bench said.

The bench has also asked Delhi’s municipal bodies to be ready with an alternate arrangement to collect toll and environment compensation charge.
