Anil Kumble is Team India’s new coach and by the looks of it, Kumble means business.

The 45-year old, whose first assignment is the Test series against West Indies that begins on July 21, has already laid down some rules for the Indian cricket team.

For starters, he has already conveyed to the players that anyone who is late for the bus will have to cough up a fine of 50 USD.

Additionally, an official meeting will be held every fourth day for all the players and the spin legend had made it known that his doors are always open for any player who wants to have a chat.

There’s more. At the Bengalauru camp that held before the team’s departure, Kumble was also seen bouncing off some ideas to help make the team a better fighting unit. One of them was the buddy programme, which is reportedly inspired by former coach John Wright’s plan.

In the Buddy programme, two cricketers are paired together so that they communicate, give feedback and help each other improve after a session in the nets.

If you ask us, it seems like one hell of an idea. Let’s see what the Indian cricket team has to say about the same.

But, regardless one thing is for sure. Coach Anil Kumble means business.
