NGT says odd-even formula will only make Delhiites buy 2 cars

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has questioned the Delhi government's odd-even plan for vehicles. According to the NGT, it’ll only force Delhiites to buy two cars. The legislation in question is Section 194 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The government is also looking at other sections, including Section 115, which allows the government to ‘restrict the use of vehicles’ of specified classes in certain areas or roads in the interest of ‘public safety’ and ‘convenience’.
