Nimrat Kaur and Tahir Raj Bhasin look ‘out of the world’ in The Road Trip, a new short film by Yash Raj

Nimrat Kaur, who was last seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift, and Tahir Raj Bhasin, who made his debut with YRF’s Mardaani, came together for a short film for Yash Raj banner’s youth-centric arm YFilms. The movie, called The Road Trip, is the first instalment of a series of short films that has been aptly titled “Love Shots”.

The two star as a married couple, Nikhil and Archie, who are seen arguing after their car has slipped into a dig while en route Pune. While deciding whether the accident happened because of Archie not paying enough attention to the GPS, or Nikhil’s loud Drum n Bass music, the conversation shifts to their mutual friends who had crushes on them that they always knew about.

While it looks like any other couple engaged in a sweet banter, the reality is something else, which comes to light only when we see an ambulance approaching them, instead of what should have been just another tow truck to get them out of the mess.

The short film has been directed by Ankur Tewari, written by Aparna Nadig & Ashish Patil, while the music comes from Anurag Shanker and Arfaaz Kagalwala.
