Nine of the top 10 most valued companies together lost Rs 74,193 crore from their market valuation in the week.

Except ICICI Bank, the remaining nine companies in the top ten, including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), ONGC, Reliance Industries (RIL), ITC and Coal India suffered heavy losses.

The market-capitalisation of TCS plummeted Rs 17,334.74 crore to Rs. 4,92,904.10 crore, marking the steepest hit among the top-10 firms.

RIL's value plunged by Rs 13,978.9 crore to Rs 3,16,421.99 crore, while that of ONGC fell Rs 12,533.79 crore to Rs 3,30,455.81 crore.

Coal India's m-cap fell by Rs. 10,579.91 crore to Rs. 2,27,041.72 crore, while ITC's value declined by Rs. 5,851.74 crore to Rs. 2,78,455.22 crore.

HDFC Bank's valuation decreased Rs 4,709.18 crore to Rs 1,96,553.07 crore, while SBI dipped Rs 4,613.82 crore to Rs 1,82,119.04 crore.

The market valuation of mortgage lender HDFC dropped by Rs. 3,901.69 crore to Rs 1,62,875.92 crore and that of Infosys fell by Rs. 689.08 crore to Rs. 1,91,814.98 crore.
