10 Most-talked About Topics In India In 2014

While we were busy typing away news status messages, posting new pics and the starting new conversations on Facebook, the team at Facebook was busy analyzing the conversations of billions of people interacting on their social platform. The end result: they have compiled an interesting list of people, stories and topics that were moving people across the globe. Seems as if this is also part of Mark Zuckerberg’s bigger plan of connecting the world through Internet, just like his Chandauli visit was.

We checked out this list, which covers the year’s biggest news stories, sporting events, and social media crazes, on www.yearinreview.fb.com, and found out what the most-talked about topics across the globe were: World Cup, Ebola, Elections in Brazil, Robin Williams, Ice Bucket Challenge, Conflict in Gaza, Malaysia Airlines, Super Bowl, Michael Brown and Sochi Winter Olympics.

However, our key interests lied in what trended the most in India, and the FB’s list was not much surprising for us.
