It's based on about 3,000 actual job placements that Mondo made over the past year in the cities where it recruits: New York, San Francisco, Washington, Philadelphia, Denver, Boston, Chicago, and Dallas.

The ranges indicate the pay scale between the lowest and highest cost-of-living areas.
