Air India Celebrates Its Merger With Indian Airlines, Offers Tickets For Rs 100

The ongoing war of airfare intensifies as national carrier Air India announced to offer discounted tickets for Rs 100 to celebrate its merger with erstwhile Indian Airlines. This exciting offer can be availed for a limited period of five days, starting August 27 till August 31. Air India was amalgamated with erstwhile Indian Airlines into one airline as ‘Air India’ on August 27, 2007.

According to an official spokesperson, "This is the first time the airline will be celebrating the 'Air India Day'. A function will be held to celebrate the day and also to award meritorious employees of the airline."

On the occasion of ‘Air India Day’, the flag carrier would launch 'Air India Offer' - a scheme offering tickets for Rs 100 apart from all applicable taxes.

If you are planning to trip ahead, book you tickets right away through Air India’s website from August 27 to 31. The official also informed that these tickets can be used to travel during the period starting from August 27 till September 30 only.
