Last week, three low-cost airlines—SpiceJet, IndiGo and AirAsia India—had announced low airfares for their flights under similar schemes. While SpiceJet offered one-way fares starting Rs.511, IndiGo offered Rs.800. AirAsia India, which is completing two years of operations, had also cut ticket prices by half on several routes.
