An Amtrak passenger train derailed in Vermont
An Amtrak passenger train has derailed in Vermont, state police told ABC News.
At least four people sustained non life-threatening injuries in the derailment, which took place near Northfield, Vermont. At least two cars derailed, according to CNN.
Amtrak confirmed on Twitter that a train had derailed and that emergency personnel were at the scene:
We are aware of the derailment of train 55 in VT. Emergency personnel are on the scene & we are assessing the situation. Updates to follow.
