An IIT Bombay student's channel is becoming a rage on YouTube, here's why

On account of the need for education rural youth in regional languages, a YouTube channel was started by IIT Bombay students one year back which hosts Mathematics and Science videos. It now has over 10,000 subscribers.
In just one year, the channel 'Open Learning Initiative' is reflecting a 4,000 per cent growth, that too without spending money on advertising.
Founded by Yash Sanghvi, an undergraduate student at IIT Bombay and the coordinator of the National Service Scheme, the channel has more than 170 videos in eight regional languages— including Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Oriya and Bengali.
Two videos are uploaded every week, and interactive learning by answering questions through the comments. The content is presented in a simple manner, explaining basic concepts. The channel reported a large demand for more videos from both teachers and students.
As of now, at least 40 -100 students are benefiting in each class. Most students subscribing to the channel are from rural areas and government hindi medium schools.
